Software Quality Tester – Job Description (offline)

Infomir SA is a newly established company that has embarked on an ambitious plan to create a new software product – a scalable outdoor lighting management system. We are a small friendly and open team with a start-up spirit and enterprise support behind us.
Infomir SA is part of the Group of companies with more than 15 years’ experience in R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance of hi-tech solutions such as smart LED lighting, smart metering, and IPTV/OTT.

Mission
Actively follow up on the development of the full software-product for automation, scheduling, monitoring, visualization, application programming interface (API), database integration, user management, user interface, middleware, and documentation.
Work in an agile environment.

Main Tasks

● Continuously ensure that the solutions comply with the standardized test cases in order to satisfy the expectations
● Review and analyze the documentation, the specifications, the release notes, the software and hardware quality for each version and each component of the solutions
● Create and maintain the documentation on the test cases
● Create and maintain the testing environment in order to standardize the test cases
● Automate the functional, integration, sanity, smoke, interface, and regression tests
● Perform automated and manual tests when the solution release has been declared by the development teams
● Evaluate the functionality of the solutions with an intent to find whether they met the announced documentation and identify the defects
● Create and communicate the detailed test results through the test reports
● Dispatch the issues detected during the tests or met on the solutions deployed in production for the clients
● Provide support and testing documentation to the development teams
● Provide support and the testing documentation for Development Operations in order to ensure continuous delivery of the tested solutions
● Other tasks related to the tests and the quality assurance of the smart city solutions

Profile
Fluent English, polyvalent, rigorous, communicative, autonomous, proactive, creative, with the strong aptitude for self-learning, and collaboration with the distributed teams.
Required Technical Skills
Experience in development and automation of software testing
Experience in development and automation of hardware testing
Experience in development or administration of Java applications and servers (ideally Jetty)
Experience in development or administration of NodeJS applications
Experience in administration of MySQL and MongoDB databases
Experience in administration of web servers (ideally Nginx)
Experience in system administration of Linux servers
Experience in administration of Docker infrastructure
Experience with Git VCS

Additional Skills
Good redactional skills in Russian/English
