Persona is a private social network built for communities. We make it easy to spin up group chats that are also bank accounts, with debit card issuing and governance. Our mission is to empower communities to launch, scale and share wealth together as they grow.

# What we're looking for

- Ability to work across the stack and work through issues regardless of where they occur (frontend, backend, infra, etc).

- Someone who can self-manage and work in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment. Experience working in early-stage startups a big plus.

- Familiarity with JavaScript ecosystem, React and React Native (though experience with React Native not strictly required).

- Attention to detail, especially performance considerations.

# About the role

- Our tech stack is primarily JavaScript, Node, React, React Native and Firebase. We’re currently shipping to iOS, Android and web.

- You’ll be working with a highly-skilled team of technical collaborators. The founders built the app themselves and continue to commit code.

- We’re a small, tight-knit, high-trust team. We greatly value creative autonomy and empowering individuals to take full ownership of their work. You’ll encounter almost no bureaucracy, very few meetings and no micromanaging. On the flip side, you’ll have opportunities to own large product surface areas and expand / tailor your job according to your interests.

- While we prefer in-person when possible (at our beautiful space in Dumbo, see below!) we don’t have rigid requirements around hours or when you’re remote vs. in-person. Everyone keeps their own schedule that allows them to be most productive.

# Our interview process

We like to move as quickly as possible and focus on real-world skills and collaboration. You’ll have a chat with a few of the founders and then we’ll try to work together to see if everyone likes it, usually by doing a short, paid contracting job. We’re open to changes depending on life circumstances and flexible on the details of how the trial collaboration works.
