Data Engineer (offline)

WHO YOU ARE
You are an expert, who just loves the technical side of data.

You'll work closely with our data scientist to help build complex algorithms that provide unique insights into our data.

You are a team player, who has strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• To improve something, we need to be able to measure it. As a Data Engineer you will enable better measurements and ensure measurement accuracy so that we know where we are doing well and where we want to improve.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, develop, and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines to move data and to provide intuitive analytics to our partner teams
• Make data more discoverable and easy to use for Data Scientists and Analysts across the company
• Collaborate with other engineers and Data Scientists to discover the best solutions
• Model front end and back end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout our system and enable powerful data analysis
• Follow consistent practices to ensure data integrity and deal with imperfections in data
• Write complex SQL queries and work with NoSQL databases
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the technical design, operational support and maintenance procedures for all data pipeline tasks
• Create data tools for analytics and Data Scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, informatics, statistics, computer science or another quantitative field. and 3+ years of experience in the data engineering
• Fluent in English (C1/C2)
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, process oriented with great documentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
• Expert SQL and Python skills
• Knowledge of data structures and data architecture
• Experience with machine learning, statistical and predictive modeling; experience in NLP and/or image recognition is a plus
• Experience with at least one of the ML frameworks
• Driven, hard work ethic showing commitment
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail
• Focus on outcomes and quality of output
• Empathetic and team player
