Description of the role
Reporting to the Test Manager, you will work within one of our sprint or Kanban teams automating our flagship application Dashworks. You should have experience in working in an agile development environment, using scrum and/or Kanban and have a good knowledge of scrum principles and processes. You should also have strong communication skills and enjoy working and collaborating as part of a scrum team.


You should possess excellent analytical skills, as you will be expected to analyse and test complex application features and business workflows.
As Dashworks is a web-based application, you should have at least 3 years’ experience in testing web-based technologies. You should have experience in and understand different test types such as functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, exploratory testing, usability testing and cross browser testing. You will also be involved in testing SCCM, Active Directory and Exchange systems that Dashworks uses as data sources, as well as the underlying database and data warehouse systems. You should therefore have some database/data warehouse and SQL knowledge/experience.

What you will be doing
• Analysing user stories and requirements in JIRA and confluence
• Attending and contributing to agile meetings
• Collaborating with the product owner, developers, and testers on new feature development
• Creating acceptance criteria to be automated by the automation team• Testing new features and bug fixes
• Writing and executing manual regression tests in TestRail
• Reviewing coverage of automated tests
• Raising and managing bugs in JIRA
• Installation/upgrade testing of our application in preparation for release

What skills you’ll bring to the role
• At least 2 years’ experience testing web-based applications
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Experience testing databases/data warehouse systems
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Experienced in writing acceptance criteria and regression tests
• Experience working in a Scrum, Kanban or another Agile approach
• JIRA (or other similar agile management tools)

Some other relevant (but not essential) skills
• An understanding of SCCM, Active Directory and MS Exchange/Office 365
• Experience of Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of IIS and Windows system administration
• Accessibility testing

Job Location & Hours:
The role will be performed remotely.
We operate a 40-hour week and working hours are between 9am – 6pm UKtime.

You will be expected to provide and maintain your own equipment and internet connection to allow you o work from home and connect to our VPN i.e. PC, Skype, broadband and phone.

Once connected to our office there are servers and virtual machines available for you to use.
