Description:

As a software developer at Avid, you will work in a team that is responsible for all aspects of video/audio codecs support in Avid’s flagship professional video/audio editing applications. You will be developing new functionality and fixing issues, supporting and improving automated tests coverage. You will be involved in many projects relating to implementing new workflows for our customers.

Requirements:

Must have:

- 0+ years of experience in software development
- Good knowledge in C++
- English Intermediate
- Experience in using Microsoft Visual Studio for C++ (or Apple XCode)
- The ability to work in a cross-platform development environment
- Experience in at least one of Windows, Linux, Macintosh OS platforms
- Willingness to learn
- Good communication skills

Nice to have:

- Experience with tools/libraries for media processing (ffmpeg, etc.)
- Experience with Python

Preferences:
- Python, MacOS

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented, creative, and enthusiastic Trainee C++ Engineer to join the team in Kyiv. To join our high-performing team, you must have an understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, the ability to create, debug, and maintain C++ code.

As a member of our team you will be responsible for:

- Video and audio codecs code base maintaining and bug fixing
- The new codecs and SDK evaluation
- The new audio/video codecs integration
- Design and implementation of video processing and coding algorithms in C++
