Data and Analytics Solution Architect AWS (offline)

About the vacancy

DataArt's Data & Analytics Competence Center designs and implements modern data and analytics solutions for mid and large-sized organizations. We are looking for a Solution Architect who will join our rapidly growing team and provide Solution Architecture consulting services to our clients and delivery teams. The Architect will lead and support solution architecture discovery and design, client engagement activities, guide implementation teams, drive engagements from opportunity through to successful design and implementation. We provide an opportunity to develop Solution Architecture skills, chose any direction for a career in architecture development, take responsibility and lead initiatives, engagements and people.

This project is comprised of multiple Data & Analytics projects in an AWS ecosystem.

DataArt’s Data & Analytics Competence Center has a team of 3 solutions consultants, 5 solution architects, and data and big data engineers. We perform consultancy, solution discovery and design activities, projects’ kick-off and acceleration, supervision of projects, R&D, etc.

Technology and infrastructure: Amazon Athena, Amazon CloudSearch, Amazon DocumentDB, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon Elasticsearch Service, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Managed Apache Cassandra Service, Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka, Amazon Neptune, Amazon Quantum Ledger Database, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Timestream, AWS Data Exchange, AWS Data Pipeline, AWS Glue, and/or AWS Lake Formation.

Responsibilities
- Drive and be accountable for solution design and discovery exercises for both new and existing clients
- Elicit business needs and requirements, determine the scope, team, and timelines for projects
- Lead the implementation of the solution’s architecture from ideation to completion
- Serve as a top-level escalation point for technical and process concerns, which may arrive from either the implementation team or client (or both)
- Mentor everyone on your team (including developers, QAs, BAs, PMs, DevOps, business stakeholders, and yourself)
- Read, listen, and learn a lot

Must have
- Solid experience as an Architect/Tech Lead – from 5 years in commercial projects
- Know what a "customer-centric attitude" is
- Can communicate clearly and consciously – both verbally and in writing
- Experience with end-to-end implementation (from vision to hand-over to production) of at least 3 medium or large scale Data Management solutions: DWH/BI/Reporting/Big Data analytics/MDM/Metadata Management
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Data & Analytics Technology Stack, AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Expert experience in major RDBMS, BigData, and Cloud tech stacks
- Hands-on with at least one of the mainstream development stacks (Java/.NET/Python etc.)
- Good understanding of architecture principles, platforms, and best practices
- Some level of familiarity with TOGAF and DAMA DMBOK 2nd edition (especially – chapters 3 and 15)
- Business analysis skills
- Ability to design and Deliver Solution Architecture documentation (will be trained by DataArt)
