Performance Test Lead (offline)

β€” 10+ years of IT experience
β€” 2+ years of hands-on Performance Testing experience
β€” 5+ years of hands-on Test Automation experience
β€” Solid experience building frameworks from scratch
β€” Programming skills in JavaScript, Groovy, Java, or other programming language
β€” Experience with modern performance frameworks: Gatling, JMeter, Blazemeter
β€” Experience with APM tools: Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic
β€” Experience with log analytics tools: Pendo, Splunk, Loom, Solarwinds
β€” Experience with CI/CD Tools: Spinnaker, Jenkins, Travis, Harness
β€” Practical understanding of throughput, latency, memory, and CPU utilization in an on-premise/cloud-based infrastructure environment
β€” Strong technical background with detail driven and excellent problem-solving abilities

Duties

β€” Assist in building a product performance testing team and culture by playing a hands-on role in providing technical expertise/guidance in the area of product performance, load testing, and software engineering.
β€” Plan approach and test strategy for performance testing and benchmarking. Create structured test plans which include goals, priorities, approaches, methods, procedures, tracking, and statuses in support of our business
β€” Identify/implement tools, environments, test cases, metrics, etc. to help improve the ongoing program of product performance and load testing. Automates combination of outputs into reporting on environmental metrics like uptime and responsiveness.
β€” Develop, communicate, and execute performance/load/stress testing including reporting on the possibilities of performance failures and make sound decisions for next steps
β€” Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct performance prototyping, performance baselining, etc. to improve overall system performance and include performance testing as part of the SDLC.
β€” Track test coverage and performance while investigating and understanding production defect pattern
β€” Measure, monitor and capture required infrastructure & application performance metrics, logs and reports.

About the project

We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer as part of a new team in the R&D organization to help build and lead a performance testing practice from the ground-up.

The team is building a product that is aimed to automate the budgeting process for different government institutions and consist of the following modules:
β€” Open Cloud is the only integrated cloud solution for budgeting, performance, communications, and reporting. This multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (β€œSaaS”) solution connects stakeholders to the budget process, engages them for real-time feedback, accurately forecasts personnel costs, and integrates with key government systems, resulting in improved outcomes, enhanced internal efficiencies, and more time for strategic planning.
β€” Budgeting and Performance streamline and transforms the budget process from the initial stages of strategic planning and personnel forecasting on through final publication while enabling collaboration throughout. Leverage budgeting and performance modules to plan and manage strategic initiatives by capturing priorities, tying budgets to initiatives, identifying key outcomes, and engaging stakeholders.
β€” Communications and Reporting are used by governments for engaging with constituents and stakeholders. With this module, leaders can analyze and communicate complex topics and decisions in a simple manner anyone can understand. Agencies are able to build trust with colleagues and residents by gathering input on key initiatives and aligning budget and the strategic plan to both performance objectives and public expectations.
β€” Open Data is powered by enterprise-ready CKAN, delivers public data to civic developers, businesses, and citizens. This solution provides a hosted and managed CKAN instance with customizable portals.
