Senior Full Stack Engineer or Senior FrontEnd Devekioer (Poland, Romania) Offline

As the company continues its rapid growth, we are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer or Senior Frontend Developer, who will lead the evolution of B2B Headless Commerce. This role can be based either in our Westport, Connecticut office or remotely from a home office. There is an expectation of travel to interface with current or prospective clients based in the U.S.

What you'll do:

• Strong frontend development capabilities including HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, and other related technologies.

• Ability to work in partnership with UX Designers to translate comps into exceptional frontend experiences utilizing technologies frontend technologies VueJS.

• Build our expertise and capabilities around modern API-based commerce technologies including; commercetools, Aloglia, Contentful, and other emerging technologies.

• Utilization of modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and capabilities including serverless functions, CI/CD, and containerization.

• Design and build scalable backend services and capabilities utilizing technologies like NodeJS, JavaScript, Postgres, and NoSQL/Documents Databases.

• Consulted on user experience and visual design. Expected to participate/advise of best practices and define for the team any gaps in design during delivery.

• Lead the development and strategy of 3rd party development / integration

• Manage costs on standard offerings, assets, technologies, licenses, facilities, subcontractors (where required)

• Support sales & training initiatives to grow platform adoption and installation

• Be a thought leader in the B2B digital commerce space. Keep abreast of current trends in the market and be able to articulate how they impact potential clients as well as how they impact Zaelab

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science/Engineering

• 10+ years of experience in software development with 3 years as an architect/engineering leader

• 8+ years of experience in front-end software development with technologies (such as Vue, Angular, React, Ember)

• Experience building and deploying scalable apps using cloud platform technologies (Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks)

• Experience in languages such as Java, CSS, HTML

• Relational & nosql database expertise

• Working knowledge of SAP hybris, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Oracle ATG, Magento, Adobe CQ or any comparable ecommerce platforms

• Skilled at identifying and managing trade-offs between immediate needs and a long-term vision

• Experience with multiple development methodologies

• Ability to recruit and grow a team of engineers, devops and quality assurance that will deliver on the vision of the platform

• Ability to travel without restriction both domestically & internationally

• Impeccable professional references

• Experience building and working with offshore and multinational teams from USA, Eastern Europe, Latin America

• Excellent client-facing English skills (written and verbal)

• This is a remote role with occasional travel (~20% travel)
