Requirements

Good Verbal English

3 years of experience in Node.js

(Would be good) Express.js experience

Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language

MySQL / SQLite experience

Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs, desktop), and optimizing output to match the specific platform

Good understanding of server-side templating languages

Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Ability to implement unit tests

We have a well organized working process and small developers team located in Ukraine — so daily conversations are in native language that speeds the development up

Flexible schedule — the only requirements is constant amount of hours and attendance on meetings (fortunately we don’t have much meetings)

The process of development is based on Agile and Scrum best practices — so developers in our team don’t take all responsibility for full scope of project or even feature development — the scope is limited to each ones tasks from backlog put into a sprint

The team is small and startup-like — we don’t like and don’t have bureaucracy by design

99% of code is covered by unit-tests — less risks, more fun

Develop new modules for the application

Maintain the application engine built on Node.js

Develop and deliver new features to desktop application

Cover new code by unit-test cases

Attend standup meetings (hey Scrum!)

Proficient understanding of GIT
