Senior Software Engineer in Test (Krakow) (offline)

DESCRIPTION
It is great opportunity for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who will use his great skills not only in maintaining and extending existing testing infrastructure/test tools but also in developing new automated tests (for soap web-services, FIX and Swift based components, GUIs) in dynamically changing environment, utilized by one of the world’s leading financial institutions.


ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our Big Team as a whole works on a stack of solutions ranging from backend components, web-services, integration solutions through desktop & web applications to infrastructure and tooling. The group consists of seven delivery teams of 7-11 engineers, who are focused on changes to the platform related to a multitude of projects. The system deals with a wide spectrum of investment products (stock, derivatives, bonds, funds, forex, precious metals, structured products, etc.) and is therefore truly comprehensive. It provides means of understanding a complex and interesting business domain.

The challenges of working within the environment make it crucial for the candidate to be versatile and flexible. This means the person should be proactive and able drive improvements, be communicative and strong contributor given project challenges regarding knowledge support, and use different automation ranging from purely backend to purely frontend, both market standards and internal frameworks. This requires to develop ownership, sense of urgency and to be a strongly self-motivated team player.

The team is distributed but located within the same time zone, which allows keeping the location in close cooperation with each other. The group is consistently expanding over the last five years and provides real and various opportunities to develop.

REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of experience in software testing
• Strong test automation experience (back-end)
• Upper-Intermediate English
• Responsible, self-motivated team player
• Good communication skills
• Ability to drive tasks till the closure
