Senior Android Engineer (offline)

Responsibilities:

Feature development for our Android application through all channels
Working with the product team, mobile designers, and other engineers to create a truly delightful mobile experience
Helping to develop and instill best practices for the mobile engineering team
Helping to evolve team processes (code review, release planning, etc.)
Managing the app’s bugs, crashes, and user inquiries

Requirements:

Production level Android engineering experience
Familiarity with Android Studio, gradle, and coding in Java
Experience working with RESTful APIs, FCM, Recycler View, View Pager, adapters, and dealing with complex fragments and adapters in an activity
Understanding of the nuances of Android XML layouts, and how to create adaptive interfaces that work for multiple device form factors
High UX standards
Keeping up to date with the latest Android components while maintaining backward compatibility
Preferred: Computer Science Degree
Preferred: familiarity with Google Material Design guidelines and best practices
Preferred: familiarity with third party libraries such as Volley, Butterknife, Glide
Knowledge of Kotlin is a plus
