Account Deletion
This page explains how to delete your Djinni account and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
On the website:
- Sign in to djinni.co with your email and password (or your social login).
- Open your profile page (the Profile tab) and scroll to the bottom.
- Click "Delete account" and confirm the deletion on the next screen.
In the mobile app:
- Sign in to the Djinni mobile app.
- Open the menu in the top-right corner, tap Profile and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Tap "Delete account" and confirm the deletion on the next screen.
What gets deleted
- Profile data: name, contacts, CV, skills, salary expectations.
- Inbox messages with recruiters.
- Application history and favorites.
- Push notification tokens.
- Your public profile page.
What is retained
For legal and anti-abuse reasons, the following data may be retained after account deletion:
- Anonymized aggregate analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
- Records required by applicable law (for example, tax or anti-fraud records) for up to three years after deletion.
Partial data deletion
On the same account deletion page (Profile → "Delete account") you can choose a partial option instead of removing the whole account:
- Delete all conversations. Click "Delete threads" to permanently remove all message threads with recruiters. Your profile and login stay intact.
- Regenerate your profile. Click "Clean profile" to wipe your current profile data (position, skills, experience, salary, English level, contacts, message history) and start over with a blank profile under the same email.
