Your Profile:
2,5 + years of commercial software engineering experience as a backend software engineer
Proven software development experience in Object Oriented Programming with PHP and e-commerce software 
Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (e.g. Symfony) and template engines like Twig, Smarty 
Proficient in MySQL and writing of optimized SQL Queries 
Hands-on experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) and integration of Backend Systems 
Proficient knowledge of code versioning and modern collaboration tools (GIT, Jira, Confluence, are desirable) 
Experience in project planning, Agile development practices, preferably Scrum
A curious and flexible personality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively in English

Nice to have: Shopware, Docker, Nginx, Codeception, PHPUnit, Column-oriented BD (Clickhouse, Vertica), AWS (RDS, S3, Elasticache, DynamoDB)

Role:
As Backend Software Engineer you will be at the heart of designing architecture, system components, database optimization, APIs integration, and development of other backend services for a wide range of our e-commerce solutions and mobile applications (e.g. EIS.de and Satisfyer.com).

Responsibilities:
Develop, extend and maintain web-based PHP software applications, plug-ins, and modules for our e-commerce shops and internal business application (e.g. EIS.de and Satisfyer.com)
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Integrate data from various back-end services, 3rd Party API, and databases
Implement and maintain automated unit and integration tests
Create and maintain software documentation
