Junior/middle Java Developer (offline)

Project Description
Our team is working with a fast growing online Swiss bank in FinTech industry.

As a Frontend React Developer, you'll take part in development of various applications related to securities trading, including implementation of user stories and technical tasks, writing tests, doing code reviews, fixing maintenance bugs. Being a part of an Agile process, you will directly communicate with our client-side stakeholders on the daily basis.

Summary of projects and systems: Our client is a high tech company, focusing on technology excellence. Despite it is a bank, the legacy code is limited. We strive to produce maintainable, modularized, high-quality software using modern tools and libraries, with frequent early releases and maximum automation. Our projects are related to investment in shares, derivatives and other financial products.

The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining platforms, applications and microservices related to securities retail trading systems, particularly searching, managing and trading of financial instruments.

Our organization: We are working as Scrum teams organized in Squads, containing developers, QA Automation specialists, Business Analysts, DevOps engineers, UI/UX designers. You will communicate with our client-side stakeholders on daily stand ups, as well as on the other meetings, following best practices of Agile processes. As communication tools we are using video conferences, rocket chat etc.

Responsibilities
- Implementing user stories and technical tasks;
- Writing tests;
- Reviewing your teammates' code;
- Fixing maintenance and support bugs;
- Participation in meetings with the customer;
- Requirements refinement, sprint planning and task estimation
Skills
Must have
- 2+ years of experience as Frontend developer (0.5+ years for Junior) and excellent knowledge of JavaScript core, React, HTML/CSS
- 1+ years of experience with React and application state management libraries such as Redux/MobX/etc
- Upper-Intermediate English and solid communication skills overall
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Nice to have
- Experience with Linux systems and bash is a plus
- Experience with docker is nice to have
- Knowledge of/experience with Java is a good plus
