Senior Business Analyst / PO (offline)

Qualifications:

— 5-7 years overall experience in a similar role
— 1-3 years of experience in banking
— Complete/in-depth knowledge of a banking domain
— Excellent English language skills, written and spoken

Functional/technical skills:

• Scope of Projects:
— Acting as a trusted partner for the team and actively supports the Product owner/acts like proxy product owner
Stakeholder Management:
— Partners with the project management of the project on the customer side (PO, PM)

• Critical Thinking & Analytical Skills:
— Understands nuanced information and identifies underlying causes and effects
— Demonstrates the ability to make deeper connections between concepts and ideas
— Leads/mentors their peers and provides context for data/information on a limited basis

• Is able to 
— Understand client requirements, translate them into lower-level functional pieces and carry out gap analyses with regards to the Backbase product and guide the customer towards a product-first approach
— Find information and provide an achievable solution with a limited level of information
— Identify a problem/improvement to be picked up, drafting a plan to tackle it , and execute it.
— Learn from its previous experience and help the team grow by providing feedback on processes/deliverable.
— Set up processes.

• Technical Writing:
— Can write and organize user stories and epics with correct formatting
— Creates documents that can be presented to clients without guidance
— Demonstrates the ability to work with others on creating user stories and epics and teach proper formatting of both

• Use of Tools & Methods:
— Modeling notations (UML, BPMN)
— User journey or story mapping, vision setup
— Works unsupervised on tasks and rarely asks questions regarding more complex functions
— Functional command of Agile philosophy and related frameworks like Scrum or — Kanban, and is a leader within the development team

• Problem Solving:
— Recognizes problems and is able to apply workable solutions at a project level
— Requires limited guidance to determine the best course of action
— Works with the client to troubleshoot issues on a consistent basis
— Shows some understanding of organizational issues
— Demonstrates the consistent ability to put problems at both the project and organizational level into the context of the broader perspective

Would be a plus:

Industry knowledge:

—  Has specifically worked in at least one of the domains — Retail, Business or wealth and has expertise over it
— Working knowledge of some capability within the Banking world (payments/bills, product...).

As a Senior Business Analyst, your goal is to capture the essential requirements to help our customers realize their customer experience vision. You work closely with both our clients and development/SCRUM teams. You are the product owner for a project and guide the team in making the right choices to maximize project & customer success. You identify product improvements and harvestable features. You define and actively improve best practices in your day-to-day work. You provide guidance to clients on the best usage of our product as well as customization.
