Java Full Stack Developer with strong Backend skills (offline)

Our backend tech stack includes: Java8, MariaDB, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, ElasticSearch & Logstash and the frontend technologies range currently from JQuery to Backbone.

Responsibilities
As part of a small experienced team you will focus on our marketplace product and have a major responsibility for our backend and frontend development. As part of the DevOps philosophy, you are also directly involved in the production life cycle of your code.

You play an essential role in the process of delivering meaningful products and features to our two platforms and move your team forward. Maintaining and developing our Java-based web applications will be your field of expertise.

Requirements
-BS/ MS in Computer Science or a related academic area, or equivalent work experience,
-Min 3-5 years of full-time work experience in software development with extensive experience in building web-centric products in Java,
-Min 1-2 years of experience with basic frontend technologies and frameworks,
-Demonstrated technical contribution to at least one crucial middle-tier project or product, from conception to production release,
-Proven experience building systems which apply modern middle-tier architecture and design Patterns,
-Experience in SEO and building solutions for high traffic web sites is appreciated,
-Solid programming skills in Java 8 or higher,
-You understand that OO-programming is more than class hierarchies,
-Experience with classic Java web frameworks, such as Spring-MVC, Stripes, JSF, Wicket and open for modern ones like Play Framework,
-Good understanding of web standards and architectures (HTTP, MVC etc.) and eager to go beyond (Http/2 etc.),
-Understanding of web performance best-practices (Caching, bundling etc.) and their architectural implications,
-Knowledge of Javascript/ HTML/ CSS/ Ajax coding skills,
-Familiarity with agile development & startup mentality,
-Desire to work closely with your colleagues, move your team forward and make it greater,
-Profound written and oral communication and documentation abilities in English,
-Familiar with distributed VCS like GIT, Mercurial and agile methodology,
-Experience with relational Databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc),
-DevOps experience, basic Linux shell scripting knowledge.

Desirable
-SEO / E-Commerce history,
-Other languages (Grails, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python),
-NoSQL knowledge (Mongo, Redis, etc), SearchEngines (ElasticSearch).
