Middle/Senior Linux Engineer (offline)

Project Description:
As part of the Fixnetix Server Operation Team, you will support the suite of centralised and standardised monitoring and visualisation solutions across all of the End User Computing division. As a Monitoring and Telemetry Engineer you will aid for engineering the whole Monitoring and Telemetry portfolio for End User technologies, including Application and Infrastructure monitoring.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will support the Fixnetix Client base and Internal environments. There will be a requirement to work within the weekly shift pattern with some client change requests being implemented out of hours and at weekends.

Mandatory Skills:
• MUST: good understanding of RedHat Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux OR RHEL OR RedHat OR "Red Hat") (system administrator OR server operations OR server support)
• MUST: good knowledge of any SERVER monitoring tool. Preferably Geneos OR Nagios.
• MUST: speaking English

• The ability to agree and then meet deadlines.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent client service skills, including a diplomatic but firm manner.
• Strong team player mentality.
