Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

Project description:

Direct cooperation with the GitLab team to update and modernize the client's environment build around GitLab applying best GitLab practices. Client - an American multinational corporation that develops and markets networking products, including routers, switches, network management software, network security products, and software-defined networking technology.

Responsibilities:

Discover and understand (discussions, planning, design) the client's GitLab deployment, upgrade approach and historical challenges
Prepare the multi-hop GitLab Upgrade Orchestration Plan
Design upgrade hop path that arrives at GitLab v14.1
Prepare the GitLab Upgrade Orchestration Plan with sections for each upgrade-hop
Support the installation of the GitLab Omnibus distribution
Perform discovery functions related to the installation destination infrastructure
Create and execute installation plan

Requirements:

At least 5 years of commercial experience
Extensive knowledge of GitLab (ideally GitLab certified)
Experience in implementing IaC concept
Upper-intermediate/Fluent English
