Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong technical background, hands-on experience testing embedded software, and solid knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning new technologies, continuously improving their skills, and sharing knowledge with others.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform requirements analysis for embedded device functionality in the connectivity domain.
• Design and maintain test coverage for new features and device functionality.
• Analyze and improve existing test coverage.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices.
• Execute test cases according to established test plans.
• Report, track, and support defect resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare and communicate test execution reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new functionality and enhance existing features.
• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Connectivity Lab and testing equipment, including Wi-Fi infrastructure, cellular base stations, and related hardware.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing, with hands-on experience testing embedded systems.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and experience creating test documentation
• Experience in Linux/UNIX environments, including command-line tools and log analysis.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including the OSI model, wired and wireless networking technologies.
• Understanding of embedded systems principles
• Experience with bug tracking systems
• Ability to root-cause failures across software, firmware, and hardware
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work from our Kyiv lab when required.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Mobile & Embedded Software Engineer to lead the end-to-end development of a companion mobile application for a Bluetooth-enabled skincare device.

This is a hands-on role for a senior contractor who can take ownership of the entire development lifecycle - from defining the architecture and technical specifications to building, integrating, testing, and delivering the final solution.

• Precise timing: interrupts, hardware timers та задачі з дедлайнами на рівні кількох мікросекунд.
• Multi-core processors: системи, де різні ядра працюють під різними OS та обмінюються даними між собою.
• Embedded cryptography: AES, MAC, key management, захист від replay attacks.
• Low-power design: sleep modes, duty cycling, оптимізація енергоспоживання та вимірювання струму.

Про роль

Шукаємо Embedded (Control Systems) Engineer для розробки та інтеграції систем керування безпілотними й роботизованими платформами. Робота на стику коду та реального заліза: двигуни, сервоприводи, сенсори, модулі зв'язку, автопілоти, companion computers.

Ваші задачі

• Розробка embedded software на C++ та Python
• Розробка ROS/ROS2 nodes та інтеграційних модулів
• Інтеграція двигунів (ДВЗ, електро), сервоприводів, актуаторів
• Робота з CAN-шиною: підключення, обмін даними, діагностика
• Інтеграція сенсорів, модулів зв'язку, периферії через GPIO, I2C, UART, SPI
• Взаємодія companion computers з автопілотами
• Обмін телеметрією, командами керування, аварійними сценаріями
• Мережева взаємодія: Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, serial-over-IP
• Участь у стендових, інтеграційних і польових випробуваннях

• Впевнене володіння C++ та Python
• Практичний досвід з ROS/ROS2
• Обов'язковий досвід роботи з CAN (підключення, аналіз, діагностика)
• Linux, Linux-based embedded platforms
• GPIO, I2C
• TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, sockets
• Досвід інтеграції апаратних компонентів (сенсори, двигуни, сервоприводи)
• Git
