We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a part-time, hourly-based engagement (~60 hours per month), fully remote.

You’ll take ownership of cloud infrastructure on Azure, working closely with software engineers and architects to design reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions. The role requires someone who can operate independently, prioritize effectively within a limited time budget, and deliver high-impact infrastructure improvements without hand-holding.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management, deployments, and operational workflows
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent)
• Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure system reliability and uptime
• Optimize cloud environments for scalability, cost efficiency, and security
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices across all environments
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and architects on cloud-native architecture decisions

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent)
• Strong Linux administration skills — comfortable in the terminal and confident in production systems
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, or similar)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals — VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and security groups
• Experience implementing cloud security best practices — IAM, secrets management, network segmentation
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively within a part-time engagement
• Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English — clear written and spoken communication

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration in production
• Familiarity with Python scripting for infrastructure automation
• Background in HR Tech, SaaS, or product company environments
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our engineering team and help build scalable, AI-powered backend solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services, integrating advanced AI capabilities, and working with modern retrieval and knowledge management systems.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, AI engineers, and frontend developers to deliver high-performance applications that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), external data providers, and intelligent automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework and FastAPI.
• Integrate and optimize AI services, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and third-party model APIs.
• Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval mechanisms.
• Implement AI orchestration workflows using LangChain and related frameworks.
• Integrate multiple external APIs and data providers into backend systems.
• Design reliable, maintainable, and high-performance system architectures.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while continuously improving system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong commercial experience with Python.
• Proven experience with Django REST Framework and FastAPI.
• Hands-on production experience integrating AI solutions, including LLMs and model APIs.
• Strong knowledge of LangChain and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Experience working with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and retrieval systems.
• Solid experience integrating multiple third-party APIs and external data sources.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
• Experience building scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing and application monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher — mandatory for daily written and verbal communication with the international team.
