PROJECT:

We are building 4connection – a modern, feature-rich messenger application combining group messaging, interest-based communities and a thoughtful dating or matching feature. Think Telegram meets meaningful matchmaking with accessibility, youth protection and strong encryption built in from the start.

The Rust backend handles message routing, user matching algorithms, group management, API and the web presence. We are looking for a designer to shape the visual identity, user experience and interaction design across mobile and web. This is a client-commissioned project with a clear product vision.

REQUIREMENTS:

1+ years of experience in UI UX or product design for web or mobile applications. Strong understanding of user flows, interaction patterns and clean interface design. Experience designing social, messaging or community-based platforms is a plus. Proficiency in Figma or comparable tools. Basic understanding of accessibility standards. Clear, structured design thinking and attention to detail. Good English skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience building scalable design systems and reusable components. Experience with real-time interfaces such as chat applications. Understanding of safe community design or youth protection UX patterns. Experience collaborating closely with developers. Basic technical understanding of frontend constraints.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designing the user experience under direct guidance of the technical lead. Creating wireframes, interaction concepts and high-fidelity UI designs. Developing and maintaining a consistent design system. Designing chat interfaces, community spaces and matching flows. Preparing developer-ready assets and documentation. Collaborating closely with backend and frontend developers to ensure feasibility and clarity.

PROJECT: We are building 4connection – a modern messenger with interest-based communities, serious dating/matching features, strong encryption, accessibility and youth protection. The iOS client is built natively in Swift. SwiftUI for the interface, Firebase for push and real-time features, Keychain for secure storage. Like the Android developer, you work with the backend developer from day one – features are tested against real APIs, not against mocks.

REQUIREMENTS: 1+ years of experience in native iOS development with Swift. Understanding of the iOS app lifecycle and background processing. Experience with Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Firestore). Basic knowledge of secure storage (Keychain). Experience with Git and project management tools (Redmine). Good English skills (reading and writing).

NICE TO HAVE: Experience with SwiftUI. Experience with accessibility features (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, accessible navigation). Knowledge of youth protection or age verification concepts. Experience with APNs (Apple Push Notification service). Experience with real-time chat or messaging apps.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Implementing the complete iOS client based on UI/UX mockups. Building the chat interface, group features and matching/dating UI. Integrating Firebase for push notifications and real-time data. Implementing accessibility features for full VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support. Collaborating with the backend developer on API integration and testing. Owning the entire iOS client – every line of code is your responsibility.

PROJECT: We are building 4connection – a modern messenger with interest-based communities, serious dating/matching features, strong encryption, accessibility and youth protection. The Android client is built natively in Kotlin – no Flutter, no React Native. You will implement the UI from professional mockups, build the chat experience, integrate matching features and ensure the app is accessible and compliant with youth protection standards. The app connects to a Rust backend and uses Firebase for push notifications and real-time features.

REQUIREMENTS: 1+ years of experience in native Android development with Kotlin. Understanding of the Android lifecycle (Activities, Services, Background Processing). Experience with Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Realtime Database or Firestore). Basic knowledge of secure local storage (Android Keystore, EncryptedSharedPreferences). Experience with Git and project management tools (Redmine). Good English skills (reading and writing).

NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Jetpack Compose. Experience with accessibility features (TalkBack, content descriptions, scalable UI). Knowledge of youth protection or age verification concepts. Experience with real-time chat or messaging apps. Experience with matching/recommendation UIs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Implementing the complete Android client based on UI/UX mockups. Building the chat interface, group features and matching/dating UI. Integrating Firebase for push notifications and real-time data. Implementing accessibility features to ensure the app is usable for everyone. Collaborating with the backend developer on API integration and testing. Owning the entire Android client – you know every corner of your codebase.

REQUIREMENTS: 1+ years of experience in C, C++ or another systems-level language. Understanding of memory management (stack vs. heap, pointers, ownership concepts). Basic knowledge of network programming (TCP/IP, WebSockets, HTTP). Interest in learning Rust – we will train you, supported by AI-assisted development with Claude. Clean, readable, maintainable code is non-negotiable. Experience with Git and Linux. Good English skills (reading and writing).

NICE TO HAVE: Any Rust experience (even personal projects). Experience with async programming (Tokio, epoll, io_uring). Experience with matching algorithms or recommendation systems. Knowledge of Firebase integration. Experience with accessibility standards or youth protection regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Implementing the backend architecture under direct guidance of the technical lead. Building message routing, group management and user matching systems. Implementing interest-based and dating match algorithms. Building the persistence layer and REST/WebSocket API. Integrating with Firebase and third-party services. Collaborating closely with Android and iOS developers on API design. Writing testable, documented code that any equivalent specialist can take over immediately.
