About the role:

Our Client is a leading provider of payment solutions and financial technology services, dedicated to empowering businesses with innovative solutions that streamline transactions.

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for upgrading, optimizing, and adding new features to our current web applications, ensuring they remain efficient, scalable, and secure.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming
• 2+ years of experience with Node.js in commercial projects.
• Familiar with web standards and modern XHTML/HTML/HTML5/CSS.
• Proven experience in database design and writing optimized SQL queries.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux/Ubuntu.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of SOAP, REST, or similar web services.
• Previous experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• English proficiency: Upper Intermediate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PostgreSQL database design and basic administration.
• Knowledge of unit testing practices.
• Experience using Git for source control.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js.
• Manage and optimize relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Maintain, optimize, and debug code to improve application performance.
• Use Linux command-line tools for server management, deployment, and automation tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues using Linux command-line tools.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough manual testing of our web, API and mobile application to identify bugs and issues
• Develop and execute test cases based on product requirements and user stories, ensuring all functionalities meet our high standards of quality
• Collaborate with the development team to prioritize bug fixes and manage the lifecycle of each issue
• Provide feedback to our design and development teams on potential improvements from a user perspective, emphasizing engagement and ease of use
• Maintain documentation of test cases, results, and any other quality assurance activities

• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on potential quality, reliability, and maintenance issues

   

Skills:

• 1+ years of practical work experience in a commercial setting
• Solid understanding of basic development processes
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and API concepts
• Good understanding and experience in cross-browser compatibility
• Experience in testing web/mobile applications and UI/UX testing
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries
• Proficient use of bug-tracking systems for effective issue resolution

• English: B2 or higher proficiency in English
