Tutorbase is a SaaS platform for tutoring centers and language schools. We help schools manage lessons, schedules, billing, and payroll — all in one place. Think of it as the modern alternative to outdated tools like Teachworks or TutorCruncher.

 

I’m Sandro, the founder. I’ve built and scaled language schools before (one was acquired earlier this year) and now I’m fully focused on Tutorbase. The idea is validated — schools are excited about what we’re building and we get registrations through our website every few days.

 

We’re still small, which means you’ll have real ownership from day one. You won’t just be “writing tickets.” You’ll be shaping the architecture, making key technical decisions, and seeing your work used by real customers quickly.

    About Tutorbase:

    Tutorbase is an all-in-one operations platform for tutoring and education businesses. Our software automates scheduling, billing, invoicing, and payroll — helping tutoring centers, language schools, and after-school programs run more efficiently.

     

    We currently serve about 600 education businesses across Hong Kong and Singapore, with plans to expand into new markets in 2025.

     

    Our platform competes with tools like Teachworks, TutorCruncher, and TutorBird — but with a stronger focus on the Asia-Pacific education market and seamless integrations with local payment systems.

     



    About the Role:

    We're hiring a Content Writer / Copywriter to own our content strategy and help us build a strong organic presence. You'll create content that ranks, converts, and positions Tutorbase as the go-to platform for tutoring businesses.


    This is a high-impact role — you'll work directly with the founding team to shape how we communicate with the market.


    Responsibilities:
    • Write SEO-optimized blog posts, landing pages, and help documentation
    • Create compelling website copy that converts visitors into leads
    • Develop email sequences for onboarding, nurturing, and product updates
    • Write case studies, product announcements, and thought leadership content
    • Edit and proofread all customer-facing content for clarity and consistency
    • Research competitors (Teachworks, TutorCruncher, TutorBird) and identify content opportunities
     

    Requirements:
    • Excellent written English — native or near-native level
    • 2+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or editing (SaaS experience preferred)
    • Understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, content structure)
    • Ability to write for different formats: long-form blogs, punchy landing pages, concise emails
    • Strong attention to detail and self-editing skills
    • Bonus: Experience in EdTech, B2B SaaS, or the education industry

    • Ahrefs / SEMrush (SEO research)
     

    Schedule & Compensation:
    • Remote position (work from anywhere)
    • Flexible hours with occasional overlap with Hong Kong timezone (UTC+8)
    • Competitive salary: $2500–$2700/month based on experience
    • Opportunity to grow into Content Lead as we scale
    • Start date: January 2026
