Translucent is building the data and AI layer for accounting. We connect to Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting platforms, aggregate transaction-level data across thousands of companies, and turn it into tools that accounting firms actually use to run their practices.
We're a small team (9 people), venture-backed, based in the UK and Portugal. Right now we're in the middle of a major product pivot, moving from multi-entity consolidation to practice-level intelligence for mid-sized accounting firms. It's working. We have design partners and a clear path to something big.
Why this matters: Accounting is a $600B industry running on spreadsheets, disconnected systems, and manual work. The firms that figure out how to use AI and automation will dominate. We're building the infrastructure that makes that possible.
