ToolSense was founded in 2017 as a spin-off from the incubator of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien: Benjamin Petterle, Rostyslav Yavorskyi, Stefan Öttl and Alexander Manafi.
Together with a friendly electrician, they developed the first version of an IoT solution. The goal: the cost-effective & energy-saving networking of power tools.
In the fall of 2017, they were included in Deutsche Telekom’s NB-IoT Warp Incubator. From then on, things went steeply uphill.
The ultra low-cost, ultra low-energy ToolSense IoT solution for construction and cleaning machines has been developed. More than 20 machine manufacturers in Europe and the USA are working with ToolSense to digitize their machines. Numerous trades and service providers rely on ToolSense Asset Management.
