About the Role:

About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced WebRTC Consultant to support our engineering team with a highly specialized video streaming use case. The main focus is to help resolve ongoing frame distortion and buffering issues, improve real-time playback performance, and optimize our integration of WebRTC and MPEG-TS streams.

This is not a full-time or permanent position — we’re seeking someone to consult as needed, ideally working closely with our lead developer, providing guidance, helping troubleshoot issues, and advising on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and advise on real-time video stream playback issues, especially around frame loss, latency, and buffering
• Support integration and optimization of WebRTC in a non-standard, low-latency video streaming environment
• Assist with packetization strategies and help identify bottlenecks related to MPEG-TS and buffer handling
• Collaborate with developers on architecture refactoring and testing
• Recommend improvements to ensure reliable keyframe handling and playback smoothness

Requirements:

• Proven experience with WebRTC in real-time video streaming environments
• Deep understanding of video encoding/decoding, keyframe handling, packetization, and latency tuning
• Hands-on experience with MPEG-TS, FFmpeg, or related streaming pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex setups (buffer mismatches, dropped frames, sync issues)
• Ability to advise on integration with third-party video playback libraries (e.g., Video.js)
• Familiarity with browser-based video streaming (HTML5/Web APIs)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a support/advisory capacity

Nice to Have:

• Experience with GStreamer or similar multimedia frameworks
• Knowledge of live streaming infrastructure and low-latency transport protocols
• Background in performance tuning of front-end video playback solutions

About the Role:

This is a mission-driven product with real-world impact, especially in Ukraine, where the solution is being introduced to support war-injured civilians and veterans.
