About Us
Superscript Systems Inc. is a U.S.-based software development company specializing in AI, fintech, and blockchain solutions. The company provides dedicated engineering teams that design, build, and scale secure, high-performance digital products for startups and growing businesses. With a focus on quality, transparency, and long-term partnerships, Superscript Systems helps organizations bring innovative ideas to market efficiently and reliably.
About the Role
FirstTouch is a fast-paced sales orchestration product focused on deep integrations with the HubSpot ecosystem. We pride ourselves on a rapid time-to-market for new features, which means our QA process needs to be smart, efficient, and deeply integrated into the product lifecycle.
We are looking for a Product QA Engineer to join our technical team. You will work alongside our current Product Quality Analyst, UI/UX Designer, and Engineering team to alleviate QA bottlenecks, ensure the reliability of our web platform, and advocate for an exceptional user experience. You won’t just test code at the end of the line, you will analyze requirements, review designs, and catch edge cases before development even begins and consult the business team on product operation.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Manual Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of our web-based SaaS application and complex automation workflows.
- Shift-Left Quality & UI/UX: Collaborate with our UI/UX Designer (in Figma) and Product Managers to analyze requirements, identify logical gaps, and suggest UI/UX improvements before development starts.
- Bug Tracking & Test Management: Identify, document, and track bugs via Jira. Create, maintain, and manage test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans) using Qase.
- Process Optimization: Help streamline our testing processes to reduce delivery bottlenecks without sacrificing quality.
- Release Management: Estimate testing efforts, track changes via Bitbucket, and act as a quality gatekeeper for rapid deployments.
Hard Skills (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in Manual QA testing, specifically for web applications or SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of client–server architecture and basic experience with API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Experience using browser developer tools (Network, Console, etc.) for debugging.
- Hands-on experience with our core toolkit: Jira, Bitbucket, Figma, and test management systems (specifically Qase, or similar like TestRail/Zephyr).
- Ability to estimate testing efforts and create structured test documentation.
- Basic SQL knowledge or experience with data validation.
- Experience using AI tools for day-to-day tasks (e.g., ChatGPT, OpenCode for test case generation). Use AI in QA workflows to write test cases or analyze requirements faster.
Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)
- Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience with HubSpot, CRM systems, or general Sales Tech tools (Heyreach, UnifyGTM, Reply.io, etc).
- Automation Ambitions: Interest or experience in setting up test automation frameworks and writing automated tests (specifically using TypeScript/Playwright).
Soft Skills
- Destructive Thinking: The ability to look at a system and immediately think about how it can break.
- Product Mindset: You care deeply about the user journey and evaluate functionality and UI/UX friction simultaneously.
- Curiosity & Attention to Detail: A willingness to explore the product deeply, uncover hidden issues, and understand complex backend integrations.
- Strong Communication: Ability to tactfully provide feedback to designers and clearly articulate reproduction steps to developers (.NET/Python/Frontend teams).
Language Requirements
- English: B1+ or higher.
- Ability to read technical documentation and clearly communicate issues in English.
