    Our partner Stera Global is looking for a senior UI/UX designer to act as a Design Team Lead. This role is responsible for design quality, delivery standards, and the professional growth of the design team. You will guide designers across multiple projects, review work, set design direction, and ensure consistency across client deliverables.

    You will work closely with Project Managers, focusing on design excellence, team performance, and scalable design processes.

     

    Requirements

    — 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, including hands-on work in a design or digital agency environment
    — Proven experience leading or mentoring designers in an agency environment
    — Deep understanding of UX, UI systems, and modern product design workflows
    — Ability to critically review design work and provide clear, actionable feedback
    — Excellent communication skills and strong English
    — Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously
    — Comfortable working with US-based clients and teams
    — Availability to work from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM Ukrainian time with EST overlap

     

    Responsibilities

    — Lead and mentor a team of UI/UX designers
    — Own design quality, consistency, and delivery standards across projects
    — Review and approve design work before client delivery
    — Set and maintain UI/UX best practices, guidelines, and internal standards
    — Support project planning by advising on scope, effort, and design complexity
    — Provide structured feedback, coaching, and performance guidance to designers
    — Support onboarding and ramp-up of new designers
    — Identify skill gaps and support team growth and development
    — Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timelines are realistic and achievable
    — Participate in key client presentations and design discussions when needed

     

    Nice to have

    — Experience building or scaling design teams
    — Strong background in design systems and component libraries
    — Experience collaborating closely with product, engineering, and strategy teams
    — Familiarity with Figma-based workflows and handoff processes

     

    Working conditions

    Location: Remote
    Timezone: Overlap with EST required
    Working hours: 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM Ukrainian time
