Now we're building Smartist Studio: the all in one platform for the whole art business. Everything around the art, so artists can get back to the art. We're looking for a React engineer to build it with us.

What you'll do

• Build and ship the Smartist Studio web app in React and TypeScript
• Turn Figma designs into interfaces that feel fast, clean, and obvious. Our users are visual people with high standards
• Work directly with design, product, and the iOS team. Small company, short feedback loops, your work goes live within the week
• Own features end to end, from spec to ship to the analytics that tell you if it worked

• Keep the codebase healthy through reviews, tests, performance work, and accessibility

   

What we're looking for

• 2+ years building production React apps with TypeScript
• Strong fundamentals: hooks, component design, state management, data fetching
• You care how it looks. Pixel accuracy, responsive layouts, motion that feels right
• Comfortable with Git, code review, and shipping in small increments
• Clear communicator in English, ready to work remotely

Nice to have

• Next.js, React Native, or Tailwind
• Canvas, WebGL, or image manipulation in the browser
• Experience building AI powered features
• Design system instincts and fluency in Figma
• You make things outside of work too

We are looking for a strategic and creative Marketing Manager to drive growth through multiple channels. You will lead social, paid, and partnership strategies for Smartist, the #1 art visualization app on the market.

What You’ll Do 🛠️

• Influencer Marketing: Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with art and design influencers to drive authentic brand advocacy.
• Affiliate Program: Build and scale our affiliate network, negotiating commissions and tracking performance to maximize revenue.

• Paid Ads: Lead paid advertising efforts (Meta) to maximize ROI.
• Retention: Execute push and email campaigns to nurture and retain users.

Smartist seeks a talented and motivated Middle iOS developer to join our team and help build and maintain our mobile app. As a Middle iOS developer at Smartist, you will work closely with our senior engineers and product team to develop and deliver high-quality code.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain iOS apps using Swift and the iOS SDK

• Collaborate with marketing, design, and ship new features

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

• Participate in code and design reviews

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• At least 2 years of experience developing iOS apps using Swift and the iOS SDK

• Working with UIKit, Core Graphics, Autolayout, GCD

• Experience with Git and version control systems

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Experience with Alamofire or URLSession

• Hands-on experience with Core Data or Realm

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Will be a plus:

• Experience with SpriteKit or SceneKit

• Own the Smartist brand end to end: identity, visual system, typography, color, motion, and the rules that keep it consistent across every surface
• Set the creative direction for campaigns, launches, and brand moments, then art direct them through to delivery
• Design the work yourself. This is a hands on role, not a role that only reviews other people's files
• Build and maintain the brand design system, asset library, and templates so the whole team can move fast without breaking the look
• Direct creative across App Store assets, paid ads, social, email, website, and in app visuals
• Brief and direct external partners: freelancers, illustrators, motion designers, photographers
• Work closely with product design, marketing, and the founders. Small team, short feedback loops, your work goes live within the week
• Raise the bar on everything that carries our name, including the parts nobody has looked at in a while
   

• Brand graphic design is a must. You've built or substantially evolved a brand identity: logo systems, typography, color, layout, iconography, and the guidelines that hold it together. This is the core requirement, not a bonus
• 5+ years in design, with at least 2 spent directing creative work or leading a brand
• A portfolio that shows range and craft. We want to see finished brand systems, not only single campaigns
• Expert in Figma and the Adobe suite
• You can translate a strategy into a visual direction, and defend the direction without being precious about it
• Strong art direction instincts across photography, illustration, and motion, even where you don't execute it all yourself
• Comfortable working in a marketing context, where creative is judged on both craft and results
• Clear communicator in English, ready to work remotely

• Motion design and video editing, including After Effects
• Experience designing for App Store, including screenshots, icons, and store video
• Paid social and performance creative, and the discipline of testing it
• Art world fluency. You paint, photograph, curate, collect, or have worked with galleries
