Smarten Transport Inc is a fast-growing U.S.-based trucking and logistics company with operations in US, Ukraine, and globally. We specialize in building long-term partnerships with professional drivers, owner-operators, and skilled office staff to support our continued growth.
We are now seeking an experienced Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Manager to establish and lead our recruiting efforts from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to design and implement a recruiting system that will attract high-quality candidates across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
1. Setup & Foundation
- Build recruiting infrastructure from scratch (ATS selection, workflows, job templates).
- Create and manage company profiles on job boards and social media platforms.
- Develop employer branding content (career page, ads, outreach campaigns).
2. Recruiting for Drivers & Owner-Operators (U.S.)
- Generate quality leads for CDL drivers and owner-operators through targeted campaigns.
- Manage job postings across trucking-specific platforms and classified sites.
- Build referral and retention-focused recruiting strategies.
3. Office Recruiting (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine)
- Source and attract dispatchers, administrative staff, and office employees.
- Run recruitment campaigns on Work.ua, Robota.ua, and local networks.
- Collaborate with universities and community channels to create talent pipelines.
4. Global Recruiting (Worldwide Remote Staff)
- Source international talent across multiple time zones and geographies.
- Utilize platforms such as LinkedIn, Upwork, and global job boards.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and cultural fit for remote teams.
5. Candidate Management & Handoff
- Screen candidates and qualify based on predefined criteria.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of applicants across multiple roles.
- Provide shortlisted candidates to management for final decision-making.
6. Reporting & KPIs
- Track metrics such as cost per hire, time to fill, and source effectiveness.
- Provide weekly recruiting performance updates to management.
- Continuously refine sourcing channels and processes for better results.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in full-cycle recruiting, ideally across multiple regions.
- Strong background in sourcing drivers, logistics staff, or high-volume recruiting.
- Familiarity with Ukrainian and international job markets.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Ukrainian/Russian a strong plus).
- Proficiency with ATS and CRM systems (Workable, Recruitee, Zoho Recruit, or similar).
- Knowledge of digital recruitment strategies (social media ads, job boards, referrals).
- Highly organized, self-driven, and able to build recruiting processes independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or related industries.
- Ability to create engaging job ads and employer branding content.
- Familiarity with compliance in U.S. trucking recruitment (FMCSA, CDL requirements).
- Strong networking skills to establish recruiting partnerships.
