What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain Laravel-based backend systems
- Take ownership of API architecture (REST / JSON APIs)
- Improve performance, scalability, and security of existing services
- Work with databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) and optimize queries
- Implement background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Review code and mentor other developers
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product stakeholders
- Participate in architectural and technical decisions
What we expect
- 5+ years of professional PHP development
- Strong Laravel expertise (Laravel 9+ is a big plus)
- Solid understanding of:
- OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns
- RESTful API design
- Queues, events, jobs, caching
- Experience with:
- MySQL / PostgreSQL
- Redis
- Docker (basic to advanced)
- Comfortable working with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience writing automated tests (PHPUnit / Pest)
- Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with:
- Microservices or modular monoliths
