Objective 
We are seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join the team behind the first enterprise-grade software solution purpose-built for Capital Expenditure (Capex) management. This platform serves as a "single source of truth" for capital allocation for Global 2000 companies, replacing fragmented spreadsheets with a unified, cloud-based system. As a long-term member of this mission-critical project, you will help automate financial reporting, ensure compliance, and optimize portfolio performance through rigorous ROI modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Work on complex product features with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop and optimize MongoDB data models and queries.
• Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure hosted on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Improve application reliability, observability, and monitoring.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to enhance productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and backend architecture.
• Deep experience with MongoDB, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with background jobs, caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with AI development tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) is highly preferred.
   

  Nice to Have: Experience with legacy Rails applications, React, Redis, or Sidekiq.

  English Level: Good spoken English.

We are looking for a "System Thinker" who goes beyond process management to take full Ownership of business outcomes. You will manage established accounts in domains like Fintech, Healthcare, and Marketplaces, while serving as a key driver in our Presale phase. We operate with a Smart, Common Sense Approach, looking for a leader who understands that a roadmap is a tool for results, and who can navigate complex technical and business landscapes with autonomy and professional excellence.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for project results—not just processes—ensuring high standards of quality and timeline precision without needing external "pushes."
• Strategic Presales: Lead discovery and estimation phases to ensure a realistic scope and correct setup from the very start.
• Business-Value Thinking: Solve business problems rather than just shipping features; protect both the client’s interests and the team’s health through smart backlog management.
• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Communicate confidently with stakeholders and engineers alike, adapting your language and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Account Growth: Proactively identify upselling opportunities and mitigate risks to expand the company's footprint within projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development project management with a proven track record.
• Systemic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture," identifying non-obvious links and risks across a complex system of project variables.
• English Level: Upper-Intermediate or Advanced is mandatory for high-level negotiations and daily international collaboration.
• Technical Literacy: Deep understanding of software architecture and technical concepts to effectively challenge and validate team estimations. Technical background (software development, QA, etc.) is preferable.
• Tooling & Innovation: Proficiency in Agile methodologies and an interest in using AI/LLM tools to optimize management workflows.
• Personal Traits: High levels of proactivity, autonomy, and the ability to build trust-based relationships through honesty and reliability.

Основні обов’язки

• Досліджувати MilTech екосистему та визначати можливості, де програмна інженерія може створювати цінність.
• Встановлювати звʼязки з фаундерами, експертами та компаніями у defense-tech сфері, щоб зрозуміти реальні потреби ринку.
• Генерувати та перевіряти стратегічні гіпотези (наприклад: software-послуги для MilTech компаній, рішення у сфері simulation та digital twins, підтримка міжнародних компаній, які виходять у defense-tech екосистему).
• Формувати потенційні сервісні пропозиції на основі інсайтів з ринку.
• Будувати партнерства зі стартапами, технологічними компаніями та інноваційними ініціативами.
• Запускати перші колаборації та пілотні проєкти разом із leadership-командою та інженерами Sloboda Studio.
   

Вимоги

• Досвід у business development, product discovery, партнерствах або innovation-ролях у tech.
• Досвід запуску продуктів з нуля.
• Вміння проводити market research та customer discovery і перетворювати інсайти на можливості.
• Сильні комунікаційні навички та здатність ініціювати нові знайомства і розмови.
• Розуміння software development процесів та технологічних продуктів.
• Вільна англійська.

Досвід у defense-tech буде плюсом, але не є обов’язковим.
