    RideSafe is a travel startup revolutionizing the ridesharing space. We're on a mission to rebuild trust in shared travel by making every trip feel safe, respectful, and comfortable — powered by verified profiles and honest communication. We have two core products: a mobile app for our passengers and a dedicated app for our drivers. We believe simple, clear, and helpful language is a critical part of a great user experience, and that's where you come in.

     

    The Role

    We're looking for a user-focused UX Writer to be the voice of our product. You won't just be writing copy; you'll be a key partner in the design process.

    Your primary goal is to ensure our apps are intuitive and easy to use. You'll dive into our designs, review all the text strings, and propose fixes to make sure the user always understands where they are, what they can do, and what to expect next. You'll be the champion for clarity, hunting down confusing jargon, inconsistent terminology, and "missed texts" where a user needs guidance.

     

    What You'll Do

    • Write & Refine: Craft clear, concise, and user-friendly copy for our passenger and driver apps—from UI buttons and error messages to onboarding flows and push notifications.
    • Audit & Improve: Systematically review our existing designs in Figma to find and fix confusing text, awkward phrasing, and inconsistencies.
    • Identify Gaps: Work with designers to find missing informational text, tooltips, or guidance that will prevent user confusion before it happens.
    • Collaborate: Partner closely with UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to understand user flows and technical constraints, and to ensure your copy is implemented correctly.
    • Define Voice & Tone: Help establish and maintain a consistent voice and tone guide that speaks effectively to both our passenger and driver audiences.

     

    What We're Looking For

    • Proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your work (especially mobile apps).
    • A "before and after" mindset—you can show examples of how you transformed confusing copy into a clear user experience.
    • A deep empathy for users and a passion for making complex things simple.
    • Experience working directly inside design tools like Figma.
    • A proactive, self-starter attitude. You don't wait for tasks; you find problems and propose solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills—you can clearly explain your copy decisions to the team.

       

    Bonus Points If You Have

    • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
    • Knowledge of the ridesharing, travel, or mobility industry.
    • Direct experience with usability testing or user research.
