At the moment, we are looking for a Middle Backend Engineer ($$2000-3000).
Please note that this is a full-time on-site position in our Lviv office.

Position Requirements

·   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

·   2-4 years of Python backend development experience with understanding of async programming.

·   Working knowledge of FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.

·   Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

·   Basic understanding of gRPC and Protocol Buffers (beneficial).

·   Experience with task queues (e.g., Celery, RabbitMQ) or background job systems.

·   Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Redis.

·   Familiarity with MongoDB (beneficial).

·   Experience with Docker and basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts.

·   Proficiency in writing unit tests with pytest.

·   Basic knowledge of logging and monitoring practices.

·   Strong version control skills with Git.

·   Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) is a plus.

·   Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

·   Develop and maintain backend features using Python and FastAPI.

·   Implement RESTful API endpoints based on technical specifications.

·   Write clean, maintainable code following established patterns.

·   Create unit tests for new functionality using pytest.

·   Fix bugs and resolve issues in existing codebase.

·   Participate in code reviews and apply feedback.

·   Work with PostgreSQL databases and Redis for caching.

·   Document implemented features and API endpoints.

·   Collaborate with team members on assigned tasks.

·   Follow established development workflows and coding standards.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on web development experience with a focus on frontend.
• Strong proficiency in Angular (v12+), TypeScript.
• Experience with UI component libraries such as Angular Material or PrimeNG.
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive/adaptive design principles.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating them into frontend applications.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, branching strategies).
• Practical knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Jest, Karma).
• Awareness of web accessibility and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of NgRx state management architecture (Store, Effects, Selectors, Entities, Router Store) and RxJS reactive programming. Experienced in implementing complex state flows, optimizing change detection, handling side effects with Effects, and creating efficient data pipelines using RxJS operators (switchMap, mergeMap, catchError, etc.).

• Experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS) or backend integration workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, and high-quality frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Implement and refine UI components and design systems using Angular Material or PrimeNG.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to deliver smooth, performant user experiences.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and handle client-side state management.
• Optimize application performance and server-side rendering (when applicable).
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following team best practices.

What We’re Looking For 

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, including testing methodologies, techniques, and types of testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset — ability to identify issues, think critically, and provide data-driven insights.
• Hands-on experience testing web applications, ensuring quality across different browsers and environments.
• Proven experience in end-to-end product testing, covering both functional and non-functional aspects.
• Proficiency in requirements analysis and validation, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
• Practical experience using JIRA (or similar tools) for test case management, defect tracking, and collaboration.
• Excellent self-organization and attention to detail, with the ability to independently deep dive into complex systems and processes.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

• QA certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent, demonstrating formal testing knowledge and best practices.
• Experience testing enterprise systems with hierarchical user structures, including admin portals for managing roles, users, and permissions.
• Familiarity with systems involving complex data mapping or integrations with third-party platforms and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute functional and UI testing to ensure software quality across different platforms and browsers.
• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and test reports.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including Developers, Product Managers, and Designers — to ensure shared understanding of requirements and deliverables.
• Participate in requirements review and clarification sessions, identifying gaps, ambiguities, or potential risks early in the development cycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Validate implemented features and verify bug fixes, maintaining high confidence in product stability and performance.
