Job Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Release Coordinator to plan, coordinate and communicate software releases across PAR Retail’s development, QA and infrastructure teams. The role connects engineering, operations and business stakeholders so that releases are predictable, low-risk and well documented. 

Key Responsibilities 

Release Planning & Coordination 

• Coordinate and support software releases across development, QA, and infrastructure. 
• Maintain release calendars and schedules, ensuring adherence to defined release processes. 
• Track release readiness activities and ensure all deployment prerequisites are completed. 
• Facilitate release Go/No-Go meetings and communicate release status to stakeholders. 
• Support deployment activities during scheduled release windows and assist with issue escalation and resolution. 

Change Management 

• Coordinate change requests and ensure compliance with organizational change management processes. 
• Review and validate change documentation, implementation plans, rollback plans, and risk assessments. 
• Collaborate with Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and stakeholders to ensure proper approval and scheduling of changes. 
• Monitor change success rates and identify opportunities for process improvements. 

Metrics & Data Analytics 

• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting release and change management metrics. 
• Maintain dashboards and reports to measure:  
• Release success rates 
• Deployment frequency 
• Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) 
• Release-related incidents 
• Release schedule adherence 
• Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using data-driven insights. 
• Present release metrics and operational performance reports to the release management team. 

Agile Delivery Support 

• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and technical teams to support Agile release planning. 
• Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning . 
• Track dependencies, risks, and impediments affecting release schedules. 

Communication & Stakeholder Management 

• Coordinate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the release lifecycle. 
• Maintain release documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
• 2-3 years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, Project Coordination, Software Delivery, or a related technology role. 
• Experience supporting software releases in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. 
• Experience with release support, deployment coordination, and production readiness activities. 
• Experience analyzing metrics, reporting, and data analytics. 
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Proven professional experience with the following release tools: 
• Jira 
• GitHub 
• Jenkins 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with:  
• Kargo 
• Spacelift 
• ServiceNow Change Management 
• Confluence 
• Experience building or maintaining custom metrics dashboards using Claude or other AI tooling 
• Experience supporting enterprise-level release management processes.

What are you going to do? 

We're looking for a product designer to help create and shape our products: fuel and loyalty platforms built for the US market. You'll lead projects end to end, working closely with engineering and stakeholders, and you'll help stand up design practice in our team. We expect a broad range of design skills, exceptional taste, and fluency with the latest AI design workflows. 

What you'll own 

• Design end to end across our vendor-facing and internal surfaces: research, flows, UI, and the details that make it usable at volume. 
• Work directly with product and engineering from the start of a problem, not just at handoff, shaping what gets built and not only how it looks. 
• Use AI-assisted design and prototyping tools as part of your default workflow, moving from idea to tested design fast, and help bring those workflows into our existing legacy designs. 
• Establish research and customer insight practice, so evidence is embedded from problem framing through delivery. 
• Drive competitor and market analysis, including the best current design patterns and industry examples, and use it to shape design direction and inform strategic priorities across teams. 
• Ground decisions in analytics and real usage data rather than preference alone. 
• Build and maintain a design system that holds up as the product and the team grow. 
• Give engineering enough clarity to build confidently, without needing pixel-perfect specs for everything. 

Requirements 

• 5+ years designing digital products for mobile and web. 
• A portfolio that demonstrates both design sensibility and real product depth. 
• Demonstrated research ability: you can plan it, run it, and turn it into direction. 
• Fluency with AI tools, with the ability to work directly in code rather than relying solely on prompts. 
• Strong Figma fundamentals: components, auto layout, variables, and systems that hold up under other people's hands. 
• Excellent communication, with a track record of working effectively with US-based stakeholders. 

Nice to have 

• Experience in retail, fueling, or loyalty domain products. 
• Experience improving user flows in complex domains with a large user base and high event volume. 
• Motion and brand design skills you can apply to product and marketing surfaces.

- Operational knowledge of modern operating systems and networking; 

- Experience with common cloud services: AWS, GCP, and Azure; 

- Network Security and expertise in network pentesting;

Come join us as we scale our retail and commerce loyalty platform! PAR Retail is looking for a Senior NodeJS engineer on its expanding product engineering team as we build and grow our Open Commerce enterprise software-as-a-service platform. 

Open Commerce is a technology suite that enables marketing professionals in the fuel & convenience industry to create real-time, hyper-personalized offers and customer interactions across a variety of channels (mobile, web, SMS, and in-person) to drive customer behavior toward a desired goal. 

Our technology bridges financial payment providers, retail fuel pump technology, and customer experience by wrapping low-level standards-compliant integrations with powerful software abstractions on an ultra-modern software platform. Our platform services and applications are built using a broad swath of technologies (Typescript, NodeJS, Ruby, React, and others), interconnected via GraphQL and RabbitMQ, and run in AWS using Terraform, Helm and Kubernetes (via EKS).

Qualifications 

• Practical experience building systems in Node.js 
• At least 5 years industry experience or equivalent 
• Experience building and maintaining backend APIs, including design, implementation, evolution, and maintenance 
• Familiarity with TypeScript, or similar modern strongly-typed language 
• Proficiency using both relational and non-relational database technologies 
• Strong understanding and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing 
• Basic knowledge Docker and Kubernetes 
• Familiarity with OAuth and JWT 
• Some experience with front-end JS technologies, esp. React or Angular 
• An ability to work in service-based architectures
