The primary goal of this position is to develop, maintain, and optimize our Shopify themes, ensuring a high-performance shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize themes using Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript (Alpine.js).
- Work with Shopify Online Store 2.0 architecture (Sections, Blocks, JSON Templates).
- Manage local development workflows using Shopify CLI and Git (Theme Kit).
- Configure asset builds using Webpack/Laravel Mix or Vite.
- Migrate legacy jQuery components to lightweight Alpine.js.
- Optimize site speed (Google PageSpeed/Lighthouse) and implement SEO best practices.
- Integrate third-party apps (Wishlist, Reviews) and customize email templates.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in Shopify Theme Development.
- Deep knowledge of Liquid syntax (Objects, Tags, Filters).
- Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js.
- Experience with modern build tools (npm, Webpack, Mix) – no coding "live" in the admin panel.
- Understanding of JSON Schemas and Shopify Metafields.
