In this role, you will:

• Work on the development and maintenance of the main MacPaw website, supporting its day-to-day stability and performance.
• Gain a deep understanding of the current website architecture and functionality.
• Contribute to refactoring initiatives, helping improve code quality and maintainability over time.
• Participate in planning and implementing refactoring of the codebase.
• Develop new features while working with and improving legacy code.
• Contribute to the development of other web projects of the company.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• At least 1+ year of commercial experience in backend development.
• Solid knowledge of PHP (syntax, data structures, OOP).
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS fundamentals (methods, headers, status codes) and RESTful APIs.
• Basic experience with SQL: ability to design simple schemas and write queries using JOINs and aggregations (GROUP BY, HAVING).
• Confident use of Git (branching, resolving conflicts, understanding merge vs rebase).
• Experience setting up a local development environment using Docker and docker-compose.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on finding solutions rather than just completing tasks.
• Ability to think beyond individual tasks and understand how the product works as a whole.
• Learning agility: ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and contexts.
• At least an Intermediate level of English and fluent Ukrainian.

As a plus:

• Basic experience or understanding of Go or Node.js.
• Experience integrating third-party services or SDKs based on documentation (API-first approach).
• Pet projects in a public repository (GitHub/GitLab) demonstrating code structure and architectural thinking.
• Experience working with legacy code and willingness to refactor and improve existing solutions.

In the role of Software Automation Engineer, you’ll turn AI from “something interesting” into practical tools teams use every day. You’ll work across different functions, build automation, and help shape how AI is applied inside the company — from small improvements to end-to-end solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI-powered automation workflows and AI agents.
• Analyze business needs of internal teams, validate technical feasibility, and propose optimal solutions (AI models, APIs, n8n logic, etc.).
• Explore new tools and workflows, and propose AI solutions tailored to each team’s needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Integrate various APIs and services into automation workflows.
• Run workshops and demos to showcase practical AI use cases and drive adoption.
• Independently manage small automation projects end-to-end: from requirements gathering and planning to communication and delivery.
• Monitor existing automations, fix issues, and proactively improve stability and performance.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Understanding of AI fundamentals: how LLMs work, Prompt Engineering, Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Knowledge of AI agent architecture (planners/reasoners, tools, memory, critics/verifiers).
• Hands-on experience building automation workflows using n8n or similar tools, including triggers, branching, and execution logic.
• Experience integrating APIs (HTTP requests and working with different services).
• Ability to work with and transform data (e.g. JSON) within workflows.
• Understanding of secure data handling practices.
• Practical coding experience with TypeScript.
• Strong communication skills: ability to run workshops, gather requirements, and explain solutions.
• Proactive and curious mindset, with the ability to work autonomously.
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English and fluent Ukrainian.

As a plus:

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases/vector search.

As a Senior Research Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional squad with engineers and researchers, where you can blend deep engineering research with high-impact commercial delivery, without the friction of bureaucracy. Your research won't just sit on a shelf; it will power the next generation of MacPaw products.

In this role, you will:

• Research and implement technical solutions for on-device AI model execution on macOS
• Build functional prototypes and adapt them to the evolving requirements. You will bridge the gap between R&D hypotheses and stable, high-performance technology
• Develop internal tools and frameworks for the TR&D team to accelerate the testing of new AI approaches and facilitate the early adoption of innovative technologies across MacPaw
• Partner with AI researchers, designers, and product teams to clarify technical details, define edge cases, and propose architectural solutions in high-uncertainty environments
• Conduct deep-dive sessions for the engineering team on research findings, document successful implementation cases, and act as a technical expert in joint projects with academic institutions

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Strong knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, with a deep focus on macOS internals (app sandboxing, XPC services, system daemons, etc.)
• Profound background with Swift/Objective-C and experience with architectural design for complex, high-performance systems
• Ability to find solutions for undocumented technical challenges (e.g. reverse engineering techniques or exploring low-level system behaviors)
• Experience in hypothesis validation, performance benchmarking (RAM/CPU/Battery), and documenting research findings into clear technical reports
• Practical experience in building functional application prototypes from scratch and bridging the gap between an idea and a stable POC
• Upper-intermediate English & fluent Ukrainian
   

As a plus:

• Basic understanding of ML concepts (embeddings, tokens, LLM architecture)
• Practical experience with Python
• Experience working with MLX or CoreML
• Background in product-focused companies

We are building the next generation of our Setapp Marketplace — a platform where developers distribute Mac, iOS, and Web applications to a wide audience around the world. Billing is at the core of this platform, powering how customers pay, how vendors earn, and how the business scales globally.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own this billing domain end-to-end. You will report directly to the Head of Product and work alongside an experienced Engineering team, a dedicated Growth Manager, and cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal, Design and Marketing.

This is not a supporting role. Billing is treated as a strategic capability that directly impacts revenue, vendor satisfaction, and global expansion.

In this role, you will:

• Billing Vision & Strategy. Define the billing strategy for the product. Drive product decisions that directly impact platform margin, vendor economics, and customer experience across multiple markets.
• Advanced Discovery & Research. Own the discovery phase and preparation of detailed product requirements to inform product decisions, including assessment of business models and unit economics.
• Advanced Discovery & PRD Leadership. Own the discovery phase (including hypothesis validation, user research, advanced competitor and market analysis,) and responsible for creating PRDs, providing continuous support and clarification to cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution of product requirements. Informs product decisions, including assessment of business models and unit economics.
• Strategic Roadmap Prioritization. Coordinate and maintain billing domain roadmaps across teams, collaborating with the Revenue Growth Team to align on onboarding, monetization, and funnel conversion initiatives in support of defined objectives.
• Lifecycle & Outcome Ownership. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle and be accountable for product outcomes, value delivery, and post-launch success. Analyze data and product performance to identify high-impact opportunities for improvement.
• Cross-functional Enablement. Support other product teams with billing capabilities they need to ship their features. Collaborate with Legal on compliance and vendor agreements. Partner with Growth on monetization and conversion initiatives that depend on billing infrastructure.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with strong technical expertise.
• Strong understanding of subscription and marketplace billing models.
• Proven experience working with international payment systems and global billing infrastructures.
• Understanding of international payment providers, tax and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in European and US markets (mandatory).
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making mindset.
• Comfortable with fee calculations, payout modelling, and unit economics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

As a plus:

• Familiarity with payment platform products.
• Experience rebuilding or migrating billing systems.
