MacPaw

We are looking for a Brand Marketing Manager who will develop and execute Setapp’s brand strategy, run multi-channel campaigns, and lead a small team. 
Two audiences matter here. First, our customers — macOS/iOS users looking for great apps. Second, our partners — the developers who bring their apps to Setapp. You'll build the brand for both, including activating developer communities. You'll also help keep branding consistent across the wider MacPaw ecosystem.

Setapp is MacPaw’s software marketplace for Mac and iOS users. It provides access to 360+ quality apps and AI models across dozens of categories. It is also a distribution platform that allows developers to monetize their apps.

Please include a portfolio of brand or marketing projects with your CV, describing your role, responsibilities, and impact in each of them. A portfolio is required for your application to move forward to the next stage.

In this role, you will:

• Own Setapp's brand strategy end-to-end — define target audiences, track trends and competitors, and grow brand awareness, perception and reputation
• Turn brand goals into multi-channel campaigns (PR, influencers, SMM, events) and manage their performance
• Build bottom-up forecasts and budgets, and own spend against brand goals
• Set up reporting that shows campaign impact, and adapt strategy based on it
• Deliver ongoing analytics to the teams that need it
• Lead internal specialists and external agencies/freelancers — prioritise, assign and sign off on their work
• Run customer-behavior research to surface insights that sharpen the brand strategy

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Goal setting and strategic planning: proven ability to translate high-level business and marketing goals into actionable brand strategies with measurable goals
• Multi-channel campaign management: experience in designing, launching, and evaluating complex campaigns that use the powers PR, social media, influencers, and events simultaneously. Cross-functional collaboration experience is a must
• Budget management. Experience in developing bottom-up forecasts, managing strict budgets, and assessing spend efficiency on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Data-driven decision making: high proficiency in brand analytics, understanding both behavioral and perceptual metrics. The ability not just to analyze data but to derive insights to guide brand strategies
• Team management: proven experience in managing and motivating teams of diverse professionals, setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional growth
• Partner relations improvement: experience in building and maintaining professional communities (for example, developers), with a proven track record of community activation management
• Solid understanding of evidence-based marketing and brand growth strategies, familiarity with CEP, JTBD, and mental and physical availability approaches

As a plus:

• Strong negotiation skills for handling contracts with freelancers and agencies, ensuring quality delivery and cost control. Agency experience is a plus
• Cases of vendor acquisition for the marketplace, with both long and short-term effects
• Experience handling creative brand activations (events, short-term campaigns, PR activations) in the English-speaking markets
• Experience in managing rebrandings, brand partnerships, or brand ambassadorships with measurable results for the brand
• Market research proficiency: ability to order, interpret, and apply diverse market research (such as customer behavior and brand health measurement) to inform the brand roadmap
• Hands-on experience with analytical tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Google Analytics 4) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira) used by your internal teams

We are expanding our team and looking for a Data Engineer to help us build a scalable, reliable data architecture.

In this role, you will build reliable data pipelines, design clear domain models, and optimize our data warehouse. We value a practical, problem-solving mindset — someone who easily navigates ambiguous requirements, brings structure to complex tasks, and takes ownership of their solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Build and support Airflow pipelines to ingest data from third-party sources (APIs, payment providers, ad networks) with retries, backfills, and quality checks.
• Work directly with Analytics Engineers and product teams to translate ambiguous business requests into reliable data models.
• Design and implement fact and dimension tables in dbt using dimensional modeling principles.
• Migrate existing SQL transformations into dbt models, adding tests and documentation.
• Refactor the current dbt project: improve layer structure, standardize naming conventions, and set up CI checks.
• Optimize slow or costly warehouse queries and materializations.
• Evaluate table formats and set up initial ingestion flows for our Data Lakehouse prototype.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL, including complex transformations, window functions, and query optimization.
• Proven experience building and orchestrating ELT/ETL pipelines using Airflow.
• Solid experience with dbt for data modeling, testing, documentation, and managing project structure.
• Good understanding of dimensional modeling concepts, Kimball methodology, star/snowflake schemas, and SCDs.
• Practical experience working with cloud data warehouses (preferably BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake) and Cloud Storage.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Git workflows, and basic cloud/containerized environments.
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle ambiguous requirements, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and use AI/LLM tools (like Claude) to speed up delivery.
• At least an Intermediate level of English and fluent Ukrainian.

As a plus:

• Experience with change data capture (CDC) tools and patterns (e.g., Debezium).
• Background in building and optimizing large-scale data processing jobs with PySpark.
• Experience with real-time data processing using message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with stream processing frameworks (Flink, Kafka Streams).

We’re looking for a User Acquisition Lead to spearhead performance marketing for Setapp—MacPaw’s curated platform that provides access to a premium ecosystem of vetted tools for macOS, iOS, and the web.

Setapp is currently evolving from its subscription model into a comprehensive software marketplace, expanding how users discover and license individual apps. To guide this transformation, we use insights from market research and validate the business model: running fast paid traffic experiments and checking unit economics firsthand.

In this role, you will take full ownership of our global paid acquisition strategy, optimize media budgets, and lead a dedicated team of performance and creative specialists.

Your primary focus areas will include:

• Driving rapid validation testing via paid traffic to uncover new product economics.
• Generating and testing high-converting hypotheses for digital funnels and landing pages. 
• Designing global media plans and selecting the optimal paid channel mix.
• Optimizing the conversion rates throughout the funnel

In this role, you will:

• Conduct audits and optimize the user acquisition funnel, prioritizing high-impact improvements.
• Evaluate existing marketing reporting systems and implement enhancements to ensure real-time, actionable insights on key growth metrics.
• Generate ideas, launch and test hypotheses, analyze results, and define next steps to improve performance.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance using key metrics (CPA, CAC, LTV, CTR, CR, etc.). 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including a product manager, copywriter, marketing designers, and analysts, to deliver high-performing ad creatives and landing pages. 
• Provide regular performance reports, identify trends, and share optimization insights. 
• Own the whole user acquisition strategy - from scaling existing acquisition channels to looking for expansion opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and structure a high-performing growth marketing team.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years of experience in user acquisition/performance marketing, with a strong focus on B2C SaaS or E-commerce Marketplaces in Tier-1 markets.
• Successful track record of launching and managing Google and Meta Ads campaigns in a metrics-driven environment.
• Proven track record of effectively managing big marketing budgets.
• Experience in managing teams with 3+ people. 
• Proven track record of effectively optimizing performance metrics (CPA, CAC, ROMI, etc.) to meet business objectives. 
• Experience with conversion rate optimization and funnel analysis. 
• Strong analytical skills (ability to find cause-and-effect relationships, prioritization) and experience conducting A/B tests. 
• Hands-on experience with advanced marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.).
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to attract new users. 
• Results-oriented mindset with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. •
• Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and continuously look for growth opportunities. 
• Knowledge of key e-commerce mechanics. 
• At least an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of English.

Nice-to-have skills: 

• Experience in new market expansion (specific GEO or Tier 2).
• Experience in AI automating and optimizing routine tasks.
