As a Hosting Support Engineer at GoDaddy, you will combine your experience as a system administrator with a customer-focused approach to support our clients. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hosting environments, resolving technical issues, and ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service.

Your experience should include:
 

Technical Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience
• Proficiency with LAMP/LEMP stacks
• Knowledge of networking and cloud computing
• Solid understanding of the web (domains, DNS, servers, web caching, etc.)
• Strong background in WordPress administration
• Hands-on experience with WordPress core, themes, and plugins (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Experience debugging HTML, CSS, and PHP/MySQL
• Familiarity with JSON, YAML, and the Linux command line
   
• Experience working with GIT (version control systems)
• Experience with Docker (containerization and basic orchestration)

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming customer requests via ticketing and chat system
• Monitor the status of servers and services, respond to alerts
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hosting (websites, domains, email, access, SSL, DNS, etc.)
• Escalate complex incidents to other teams (e.g., DevOps)
• Effectively address customer inquiries related to hosting service features and functionality
• Document solutions for future use (knowledge base, internal documentation)
