On behalf of our client — a 70-person Dutch company that recently acquired a new product and is now expanding its development team for the first time in a year — we are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join on a 12-month contract (with possible extension).

Your Role:
You are a Backend Developer with strong .NET Core expertise. You will work on core backend systems and contribute to the development of the our product. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who writes clean, reusable code, actively participates in design discussions, and can maintain and improve legacy systems while driving new feature development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Implement new features based on business requirements and designs.
- Refactor legacy code and resolve technical debt.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial experience with .NET / C# (preferably .NET Core) on the backend.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure resources programmatically, using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) via C# (Azure.ResourceManager/Fluent) or Azure Management REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Azure deployments and Microsoft packages (NuGet).
- Proven experience with reliability practices for ARM/REST in production: idempotency, LRO/polling, throttling/retries, RBAC/Managed Identity, and logging/audit.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
- Upper - Intermediate or higher level of English.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Compute, Azure Functions, Docker, PowerShell, InfluxDB, CI/CD, HTML/CSS, Angular, TypeScript.
- Familiarity with SignalR, RabbitMQ, WinForms, WPF, MSBuild.
