About the Product

A dating application focused on trust and safety, using mandatory ID verification (Vouched) and background checks (Checkr, IDI Data) for every member.

The product is in a growth phase, entering the v2.0 “Ignite” release cycle.

The stack is fully based on Microsoft Azure, with code managed in GitHub and CI/CD via Azure Pipelines.

Responsibilities:

- Lead a distributed engineering team (Ukraine, Poland, US)

- Own technical architecture and infrastructure decisions across Azure

- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions)

- Deploy application updates to Apple App Store and Google Play

- Drive product roadmap from an engineering perspective

- Manage vendor integrations (Checkr, IDI Data, Vouched, GetStream, Stripe, Auth0)

- Resolve production issues and data quality problems

- Communicate engineering status to non-technical stakeholders and report to CEO

Requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in software development

- 3+ years of experience in a Lead and/or Architect role

- Strong experience with .NET / C#

- Strong experience with Azure Cloud

- Experience with CI/CD pipeline management

- Experience with Azure DevOps

- Experience with API design and integrations

- Experience with AI tools and daily usage in development workflows

- Experience working with mobile technologies (React Native / TypeScript - preferred)

Key Responsibilities: 
- Implement scaling of the case detection process (scanner)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java, C++, Scala).

About the Project

The company is building a novel engine designed to dramatically accelerate Spark jobs at their core without requiring data teams to change how they work.

The startup has raised $4.5M in seed funding to build a next-generation data infrastructure optimization engine for the AI era.

Responsibilities:

- Own SQL-acceleration projects end-to-end from planning to implementation and measurable outcomes

- Implement algorithms (targeting a custom DSL) for complex SQL functions within a Scala codebase

- Drive performance optimizations for Big Data processing algorithms primarily in Java but also C++

- Research and develop new greenfield development lying at the intersection of Big Data analytics and compilers

- Implement (in a custom DSL) a major SQL operator (e.g. Window aggregate) or smaller SQL expressions

- Migrate a complex code-generated algorithm in a custom DSL to a C++ equivalent

- Invoke Java code via C++ JNI to provide execution of a SQL function for compatibility reasons

- Implement a variant of repartitioning algorithm optimized for edge-case application configurations

- Refactor existing code generation algorithms to accommodate new improvements of a custom DSL

- Improve GitHub actions workflows to accommodate new build options or new comparative benchmarks

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience with Java

- 3+ years of experience with C++

- 2+ years of experience with Scala

- Experience working with Big Data processing systems (Apache Spark or similar)

- Strong understanding of SQL processing and data processing algorithms

- Experience working with performance optimization and low-level system improvements

Responsibilities:

- Own product vision and roadmap

- Translate business goals into prioritized product initiatives

- Manage and direct engineering and UX/UI

- Drive conversion, retention, and engagement strategy

- Write PRDs, define user stories, and acceptance criteria

- Run sprint planning and backlog grooming

- Work directly with engineers to unblock progress

- Partner with UX/UI to ensure cohesive product experience

- Own funnel analytics and experimentation (A/B testing)

- Define KPIs and product success metrics

- Structure content and marketplace architecture (events, teams, restaurants)

- Optimize SEO-driven page generation and UGC systems

- Align content taxonomy and tagging strategy

- Communicate with stakeholders and provide structured updates
