Keyword.com is a keyword rank tracking and SERP & AI Visibility analytics platform that helps SEO teams track rankings and uncover opportunities that matter.

    Profile Overview

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us on a part-time basis to provide expert-level direction and execution for our infrastructure. This is not a "maintenance" role; we need a seasoned professional who can jump into a complex, high-scale environment and immediately begin streamlining it.

We are looking for a specialist who can work autonomously, define "golden paths" and execute high-impact architectural changes (like our cloud consolidation) with confidence.

Our Stack: ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes (AWS & Hetzner), Terraform, Ansible, RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka connect, Debezium (MariaDB → ClickHouse), Infisical.

Your immediate impact in the first 3–6 months will be:

    • Design and begin the execution of a pragmatic roadmap to move us from a scattered landscape toward a unified single-cloud setup
    • Establishing "Infrastructure-as-Code" patterns that allow the rest of the engineering team to move safely without needing constant DevOps intervention
    • Improving GitOps + CI/CD reliability so that deployments are boring, predictable, and fast

    Your responsibilities:

    • Platform Leadership: Take lead on the technical direction of our Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, ensuring we are building for scalability and long-term reliability
    • Cloud Migration Strategy: Define the milestones for our cloud consolidation and execute the high-risk migrations safely
    • Developer Empowerment: Build "golden paths" (templates, tooling, and docs) that enable full-time developers to self-serve while maintaining high infrastructure standards
    • IaC Excellence: Maintain and modularize our Terraform and Ansible codebases to eliminate manual steps and reduce configuration drift.
    • Reliability Engineering: Level up our observability (alerts/dashboards) so that the system is easier to monitor even when you are offline.

What you bring to the table:

    • Strong hands-on experience running production Kubernetes, including real troubleshooting and operational ownership (managed and/or self-hosted)
    • Proven experience with GitOps (ArgoCD or similar) and modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
    • Deep knowledge of Terraform (modules, state management, safe rollouts) and a practical automation mindset (Ansible, scripting)
    • Solid understanding of cloud primitives (networking, IAM/security, storage, compute) and distributed system failure modes
    • Experience improving reliability for high-scale systems (data-heavy workloads, large storage footprints, worker fleets, microservices)
    • You’re proactive and collaborative — you like being close to developers and the business, and you translate platform work into real product impact
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication (we collaborate async via Slack/GitHub)

    Nice to have:

    • Experience leading a cloud migration / consolidation (multi-cloud → single-cloud, or on-prem → cloud)
    • Strong security posture experience (least privilege, secret handling, cluster hardening)

Note on the use of AI:

We’re AI enthusiasts and use it daily (Claude Team Premium, ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise). But we’re not “vibe coders”. We use AI thoughtfully — and we take everything that lands in our repositories seriously. Regardless of where code comes from, the engineer is responsible for it.

    What’s in it for you:

    • Ultimate flexibility: We’re remote-first
    • Freedom and autonomy: High trust, high ownership, and the space to do your best work
    • Real impact: You’ll own a mission-critical area and directly shape the product’s future
    • Small, senior team: Work closely with developers and stakeholders; move quickly and ship meaningful improvements

Keyword.com is a keyword rank tracking and SERP & AI Visibility analytics platform that helps SEO teams track rankings and uncover opportunities that matter.

    Profile overview

We’re looking for a Strong Middle DevOps Engineer to join Keyword.com and help us level up our infrastructure and delivery practices.

This is not a “keep the lights on” role. You’ll be joining a high-scale, real-world environment where the goal is to simplify, standardize, and make our platform boringly reliable — while moving fast and learning a lot.

We’re explicitly looking for A-players: people who enjoy hard problems, take ownership, aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo, and want to grow into broader platform leadership over time.

Our stack: ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes (AWS & Hetzner), Terraform, Ansible, RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka connect, Debezium (MariaDB → ClickHouse), Infisical.

What you’ll achieve in your first 3–6 months

    • Assist in executing a pragmatic roadmap to move us from a scattered landscape toward a unified, high-performance single-cloud setup
    • Refactor and modularize Terraform/Ansible patterns so the engineering team can deploy safely without hand-holding
    • Fine-tune our GitOps and CI/CD reliability until deployments are fast, predictable, and "boring"

    Your responsibilities

    • Kubernetes & Platform Operations: Own day-to-day reliability and improvements across our clusters (troubleshooting, scaling, hardening, upgrades)
    • Cloud Consolidation Execution: Support and execute parts of our migration/consolidation plan with careful risk management
    • Developer Enablement: Build and maintain templates, tooling, documentation, and workflows that let developers self-serve safely
    • IaC Quality & Automation: Improve and modularize Terraform and Ansible to reduce drift, eliminate manual steps, and enable safe rollouts
    • Reliability Engineering: Improve monitoring, alerting, incident response patterns, and operational discipline

What you bring to the table

    • Solid hands-on experience running production Kubernetes and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure
    • Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD or similar) and modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
    • Good working knowledge of Terraform (modules, state, rollouts) and automation tooling (Ansible and/or scripting)
    • Understanding of cloud fundamentals: networking, IAM/security, storage, compute, and common distributed failure modes
    • A builder mindset: you like making systems simpler, safer, and repeatable
    • Strong ownership: you take problems from “unclear and messy” to “fixed and documented”
    • Comfortable collaborating async (Slack/GitHub) with good level of English
