We are a Ukrainian technology company partnering with a large U.S.-based enterprise that provides advanced IT, cloud, data, and infrastructure services. The project focuses on building and improving scalable data solutions, modernizing analytics pipelines, and supporting high-volume data operations.

Responsibilities

You will join a distributed engineering team and work closely with U.S. stakeholders to design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and analytical workflows. This role requires strong technical ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a modern data stack.

Required Experience

• Google BigQuery - strong proficiency with scheduled queries, partitioning, Dataform (or similar tools).
• MySQL & PostgreSQL - query optimization, schema design, data denormalization best practices.
• Apache Airflow - hands-on experience building and maintaining custom DAGs.
• BI/Analytics tools - Looker Studio or similar platforms for reporting and visualization.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed data systems.
• English level B2/C1 - confident communication with U.S. stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern data modeling approaches.

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst who wants to grow in analysis, work closely with engineering teams, and learn how real digital products are built.

This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their BA career who already understands the basics and is ready to develop further in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clarify, and document business and functional requirements
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear specifications
• Create and maintain UML diagrams (Use Case, Sequence, Activity, Class — depending on the task)
• Prepare clear documentation: requirements, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria
• Support developers and QA during implementation and clarify requirements when needed
• Participate in meetings and discussions with English-speaking clients and team members

Requirements

• 6–12 months of experience as a Business Analyst or related analytical role (or strong practical training/projects)
• Understanding of BA fundamentals and software development lifecycle
• Practical knowledge of UML diagrams and ability to use them to explain system behavior
• Good written and spoken English (B2 or higher) — comfortable communication with clients
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to structure information
• Basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with BPMN diagrams
• Understanding of REST APIs and basic system integration concepts
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence or similar tools
• Background in IT, economics, or technical education
