    About Exibeat

Exibeat is building a marketplace that helps electronic music producers and DJs share, discover, and exchange music in a simpler and more connected way. We are close to launching our Beta and have already started onboarding more than 500 early users. After the launch, we plan to begin a pre-seed fundraising campaign at the start of 2026.

Our team of six includes our CEO/Product Lead, a UX/UI Designer, a Marketing Manager, and three full-stack engineers at senior, mid, and junior levels.

The product is only a few weeks from launch, but we are missing one key role.

    The Role

We are looking for a CTO-level full-stack engineer who can take ownership of our architecture, lead the engineering team, and help us ship a stable and scalable platform. You will guide technical decisions, stay hands-on with coding, and help raise the quality of the entire codebase.

This role involves leading a cross-functional team, steering technical direction, and making sure engineering work connects smoothly with product, design, and business needs.

    What You’ll Work On

    • Stabilize the MVP and prepare it for production
    • Lead the transition from a monolithic Next.js app to a split Next.js frontend and Node.js or Nest.js backend
    • Migrate infrastructure to AWS and set up reliable, scalable services
    • Build new features and user flows for upcoming user groups
    • Improve performance for traffic growth, audio workloads, and larger data volumes
    • Work on streaming related features including uploads, playback, CDN setup, and caching
    • Support early ML and AI features such as similarity matching, tagging, and recommendations
    • Review code, mentor the team, and improve engineering standards
    • Help establish quality gates with clear and measurable KPIs

    Requirements

    • 5 to 7 or more years of full-stack development experience
    • Strong skills in TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js or Nest.js
    • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
    • A solid understanding of the tech landscape, architecture patterns, and CI or CD strategies
    • Comfortable working with streaming workloads and scalable architectures
    • Hands-on, fast, and detail oriented
    • Able to lead a small team and own technical decisions
    • Experience in management, product ownership, or business analysis is a plus
    • Bonus points for ML experience or a background in music tech

    Compensation

This role offers equity during the pre-funding phase. Compensation will be adjusted after fundraising, with a clear path toward a long-term CTO position.

    Why Join Us?

    • Full ownership of the technical direction from day one
    • A chance to build for a global community of electronic music
    • High impact, high autonomy, and real ownership of the product
    • A platform with a clear need, strong early traction, and growing interest
