Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend existing functionality in a large legacy PHP 7.4 codebase.
• Design and implement robust solutions for bug fixes, new features, and technical debt reduction.
• Optimize database queries and schema design using PostgreSQL.
• Refactor old modules and participate in gradual modernization plans.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA to ensure system stability and deployment continuity.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers and front-end developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with PHP, including work with legacy systems (ideally PHP 7.x).
• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and MVC architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services.
• Solid front-end skills with JavaScript and at least one modern framework (React or Vue.js).
• Version control with Git.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Python for scripting or integration purposes.
• Experience working with SOAP web services and legacy protocols.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and TCP socket-level communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize deep learning models using PyTorch.
• Build and maintain scalable training and evaluation pipelines.
• Lead model selection, experimentation, and fine-tuning activities.
• Improve training performance, efficiency, and scalability across large datasets and compute environments.
• Work with multimodal data sources, including video, images, and audio.
• Provide technical guidance on AI architecture, training strategies, and best practices.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience developing deep learning models with PyTorch.
• Proven experience building and optimizing training pipelines for machine learning systems.
• Deep understanding of model training, hyperparameter tuning, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with computer vision, audio processing, or multimodal AI applications.
• Strong software engineering skills and experience developing production-ready ML solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based or distributed training environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying machine learning techniques within behavioral science, human behavior analysis, affective computing, or related domains.
• Experience with video understanding, speech/audio analysis, or multimodal foundation models.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, model monitoring, and scalable deployment architectures.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed training frameworks.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of commercial PHP/Laravel development experience, including 2+ years as a Tech Lead/Team Lead

- Strong PHP/Laravel/MySQL knowledge

- Experience leading a team of 4-6 people

- Code review experience

- Understanding of CI/CD and GCP

- Confident English (B2+)

Nice to have:

- Monolith-to-microservice migration experience

- Couchbase/Redis/MongoDB/RabbitMQ

- Outsourced/nearshore experience with UK/EU clients

Responsibilities:

- Manual and automated testing of Buyer experience functionality

- Test coverage for new features and regression testing

- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects (bug management support)

- Improving and expanding automated and manual test coverage

- Collaborating with the Product Owner and developers on defect prioritization

- Contributing to the team's ways of working and process improvements

Requirements:

- 3+ years of QA experience (mix of manual and automated testing)

- Experience testing web applications on a PHP/Laravel stack

- Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL) for data validation

- Understanding of API testing principles (REST)

- Experience writing test cases, test plans, and bug reports

- English proficiency sufficient for daily communication with a UK-based team (B1+)
