For more than 20 years, we have been developing and promoting software for Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
Our new project is about creating new portable solution, which runs on embedded hardware and will not depend on PC and its operating system.
We are already working on our own firmware and have some code running on official ESP32-P4-Function-EV-Board from Espressif.
About the role:We’re looking for a hardware engineer to design a prototype board for our upcoming product. The board will be based on Espressif’s ESP32-P4 SoC and will include multiple USB ports, Ethernet, Bluetooth, an SPI display, status LEDs, and several user buttons.
Scope covers the full hardware development cycle: schematics, PCB layout, BOM/DFM for PCBA, support during prototyping and bring-up, and assistance through mass production launch, including support for future revisions.
Responsibilities:
- Schematic capture and Multilayer PCB layout design.
- Integration of USB interfaces and USB hubs, power supply circuit design.
- Preparation of a complete manufacturing documentation package (Gerber, BOM, Pick&Place/CPL).
- Interaction with contract manufacturers (JLCPCB and similar), resolving DFM issues.
Initial bring-up, hardware debugging, and collaboration with the Firmware Developer and QA team.
Requirements (Must Have):
- Deep knowledge of ESP32 hardware design (strapping pins/bootstrap modes, power requirements, and PCB antennas/RF layout).
- Experience in high-speed interface routing: USB (differential pairs, impedance control, ESD protection).
- Experience in designing power systems (DC-DC, LDO) with load calculation (Power Budget) for external peripherals.
Understanding of automated assembly processes (PCBA) and BOM preparation (selection of available components).
Nice to have:
- Experience with schematic implementation of USB hubs (using chips like SL2.1A, GL850G, FE1.1s).
- Proficiency in KiCad or EasyEDA (for seamless integration with our processes).
Conditions:
- Remote work.
- Interesting project-based employment with the prospect of long-term cooperation for product support.
- Stable income
- Democratic corporate culture
