We are looking for a GameDev to join our amazing team and participate in creating a project from scratch!

Who we’re looking for:

• at least 2+ years of GameDev experience
• TypeScript, JavaScript, Pixi.js
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Good OOP knowledge
• At least an intermediate level of English (written and spoken)
• Up-to-date with the latest gaming trends, techniques, best practices and technologies
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Must have experience using version control systems such as GIT
• A wide knowledge and understanding of computer games
• Creativity and imagination
• A logical approach to problem-solving
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Patience and attention to detail
• Willingness to keep up with industry developments and learn new skills

Role Summary

A key role in our data engineering team, working closely with the rest of the technology team to provide a first class service to both internal and external users. In this role you will be responsible for building solutions that allow us to use our data in a robust, flexible and efficient way while also maintaining the integrity of our data, much of which is of a sensitive nature.

Role and Responsibilities

Manages resources (internal and external) in the delivery of the product roadmap for our data asset. Key responsibilities include but not exhaustive:

• Work with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes
• Work closely with the development and product teams (both internal and external) to ensure that products meet the required specification prior to release.
• Working closely with our technology colleagues throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure that all data related processes are efficient and accurate
• Providing expert assistance with design and implementation of all new products. All of our new technology stack has data at its heart.
• Ensuring data is available for business and management reporting purposes.
• Assist with the development and refinement of the agile process.
• Be an advocate for best practices and continued learning
• Strong technical understanding of a data experience
• Ensure the ongoing maintenance of their own CPD
• Carry out all duties in a manner that always reflect Financial Wellness Group’s values and principles

Essential Criteria

• Extensive knowledge of using Python to build ETL and ELT products in AWS using Lambda and Batch processing.
• A keen understanding of developing and tuning Microsoft SQL Server.
• Exposure to development in Postgres.
• A good understanding of CI/CD for data and the challenges inherent.
• Ability to use Source Control Systems such as Git/Azure DevOps
• An understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing methodologies and an interest in Data Lakehousing technologies.
• An understanding of Infrastructure as a Service provision (for example Terraform)
• The ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies and technical challenges.
• The flexibility to quickly react to changing business priorities.
• A team player, with a natural curiosity and a desire to learn new skills
• An interest in finding the ‘right way’
• Passionate about data delivery and delivering change

Digicode seeks a dynamic and organized Senior Python developer to join the team!

Skills we are looking for:

Core Python Development

• Proficiency in Python 3.11+, including advanced features like pydantic, REST modules like httpx, async model of programming.
• Strong understanding of Python’s standard library and common third-party packages.
• Experience with virtual environments (venv, conda) and package management (pip).

Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) & NLP (optional but recommended)

• Familiarity with RAG architectures and principles.
• Experience with relevant NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, SpaCy).
• Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Azure Index with Vector profile, PostgreSQL with vector index) and embedding models.
• Hands-on experience with RAG-specific frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex for building RAG pipelines (optional but would be great!)

Linux Environment

• Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems for development and deployment.
• Proficiency with command-line tools and shell scripting.

DevOps & Deployment

• Version Control: Expert-level proficiency with Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and conflict resolution.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline setup and management.
• Container Orchestration: Understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications. (optional)
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization.

Data Management & Transformation

• Data Transformation: Proven ability to perform medium complexity data transformations using Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy!).
• ETL: Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and best practices.
• Database Work:
   
  • Strong SQL skills for relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.

Integrations

• Pub/Sub: Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, AWS SQS) for simple publish/subscribe integrations.
• REST APIs:
   
  • Ability to design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI!!!, Django REST Framework).
  • Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and API security best practices.

General Software Engineering

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; professional fluency in English language.

We are working on a critical infrastructure modernization project that involves migrating workloads from legacy data centers to a modern EU-based environment. The goal is to move from a managed virtualized infrastructure to high-performance bare-metal servers, improving stability, optimizing costs, and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy a high-availability bare-metal cluster (3 nodes, NVMe, RAID, LVM)
• Deploy and manage a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster (k3s) without cloud-managed storage
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and OpenTofu/Terraform
• Configure Oracle Data Guard for high availability and failover
• Develop a multi-cloud DR process with automated backup validation and RTO testing
• Implement modern network policies and data encryption to meet GDPR standards

Requirements

• Infrastructure: Bare-metal provisioning, Linux system administration, RAID/LVM, performance tuning
• Containerization: Kubernetes (self-managed/k3s), Helm, container runtimes
• IaC: Advanced Ansible, OpenTofu/Terraform
• Databases: Oracle 21c/19c, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN
• CI/CD: GitOps (ArgoCD or similar), automated deployment pipelines
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Alertmanager, OpenObserve

Nice to Have

• Experience with Strangler Fig migration patterns
• Knowledge of storage orchestration on Kubernetes (Rook/Ceph, Longhorn)
