    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers related to PHC, hardware timestamping, and PTP functionality.
    • Implement and tune PTP profiles (IEEE 802.1AS, ITU-T G.8275.x) for high-accuracy time distribution.
    • Work with PPS, SyncE, and NIC/FPGA hardware timestamps to ensure nanosecond-level synchronization.
    • Extend and customize linuxptp or user-space synchronization daemons.
    • Optimize real-time performance using PREEMPT_RT, IRQ pinning, and CPU isolation techniques.
    • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, and network teams to integrate time-critical systems.


    Requirements:

    • Strong experience with Linux kernel development (drivers, networking stack, timing subsystems).
    • Solid understanding of Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and related technologies.
    • Familiarity with network hardware, FPGA interfaces, and timestamping mechanisms.
    • Experience in real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) environments.
    • Proficiency in C and Linux debugging tools (trace, perf, ftrace, etc.).


    Nice to have:

    • Background in telecom, automotive, or industrial synchronization systems.
    • Experience with custom timing hardware or FPGA-based timestamping.
