Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure across multiple environments (all major clouds and self-hosted)
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using modern tooling and GitOps approaches
- Build kubernetes operators and custom solutions using Go and Python
- Lead CI/CD implementation and continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using modern stacks and OpenTelemetry
- Design and implement scalable and resilient architecture solutions
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
- Establish best practices for infrastructure management and security
- Mentor junior team members on DevOps practices and technologies
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or a similar role
- 3+ years of professional software development experience in Go and/or Python
- Strong experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code tools (ArgoCD, Flux, Terraform)
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/Concourse)
- Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices (Prometheus Stack and OTel)
- Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- You can explain Kubernetes to your non-technical friends without making their eyes glaze over
- Knowledge of database administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience with message brokers and event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with service mesh concepts (Envoy, Istio, Linkerd)
- Experience with GitOps workflows
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Your infrastructure diagrams are works of art (or at least comprehensible)
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring other engineers
