Looking for a React Native developer with experience developing camera-based applications, scanners (text, barcode, etc), OCR, and CoreML models.

Your responsibility will be to build a new scanner that includes and improves the existing license plate scanner and a new VIN scanner. This app is running using v0.81 bare React Native (not Expo).

About the Role
We’re looking for a mid–senior React Native developer to help build and scale a mobile app in the vehicle industry. You’ll work on user-facing features, performance improvements, and integrations with vehicle-related data and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a production React Native app (iOS & Android)
• Build clean, reusable components and screens
• Integrate APIs and third-party SDKs
• Optimize app performance, stability, and UX
• Collaborate with product and backend teams
• Participate in code reviews and technical decisions

Requirements

• 3+ years of React Native experience
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with iOS and Android builds and deployments
• Familiarity with REST APIs and async data handling
• Solid understanding of mobile performance and debugging
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience in automotive, vehicle data, or marketplace apps
• Knowledge of native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java)
• Experience with maps, payments, or real-time data
