Axisbits is looking for a talented PHP/Laravel Developer to join our growing team and contribute to a brand-new, exciting project from the ground up. This is a great opportunity for a mid-to-senior level developer who enjoys turning complex ideas into clean, efficient, and scalable code.
As part of our development team, you’ll play a key role in designing and building robust backend solutions using Laravel, working closely with frontend developers, designers, and managers to bring new features to life. You should have a solid understanding of modern PHP development practices, clean architecture principles, and be comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges.

Main requirements:
- Experience with PHP back-end development - at least 5 years
- Experience with PHP 8+, SOLID principles, and clean code practices,
- Experience with the Laravel framework,
- Experience with queues, jobs, and event-driven architecture,
- Experience with REST API
- Knowledge of MySQL 8+
- HTML/CSS - the ability to do simple tasks
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Vue3
- Experience with GIT
- Understanding and working with Docker
- Ability to understand and enhance existing code
- Experience in writing Unit Tests using PHPUnit
English level - intermediate or higher (ability to read/understand technical documentation and communicate in a written form is a must)
Responsibilities:
- Develop software of various levels of complexity.
- Work closely with the customer and PM, defend, and propose solutions and improvements.
- Implement project requirements using well-designed, testable, and efficient architecture and code according to the web development standards;
- Develop, update, debug, and test system features to ensure they work correctly.
- Following coding standards and best engineering practices;
Update and report project progress using an issue-tracking system.

What you will do
- Design full user journeys, wireframes, and clickable prototypes for complex systems.
- Create clean user interfaces that respect user roles and business rules.
- Suggest UX ideas when requirements are not complete.
- Build design systems (tokens, components) when needed.
Work closely with the design lead, project managers, and developers.
What we expect
- 4+ years in UX/UI design.
- Experience with web apps that use tables, charts, or other complex data (CRM, B2B, SaaS).
- Strong Figma skills (auto‑layout, components, variables, Dev Mode).
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work on your own.
English: good writing; speaking is a plus.

Hiring process

- Test task — a small practical task (~4 hours).
- Interview with the design lead — discuss your skills and past projects.
- Final interview with the CTO — talk about teamwork and vision.
The whole process usually takes about a week.
