We are looking for a Middle+ QA Engineer to safeguard the quality and accuracy of an AI-driven VR platform for surgical planning that turns patient CT/MR scans into interactive, life-size 3-D anatomical models.
This is a highly specialized QA role. To be successful, you should already have hands-on experience testing Unity-based 3-D applications, be comfortable reasoning about 3-D spatial behavior (object positioning, transforms, rendering, interaction, and visualization), and be able to validate patient-specific anatomical models by recognizing major anatomical structures, spatial relationships, and obvious inconsistencies in 3-D reconstruction or visualization.
Because the software supports real clinical decisions, precision is not optional β careful, methodical testing directly affects patient safety. You will test the VR application, the imaging pipeline, and supporting tools, working closely with developers and medical advisors.
What Weβre Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on QA / software testing experience.
- Hands-on experience testing Unity-based 3-D or VR applications.
- Strong understanding of how 3-D scenes behave, including object transforms, local/world coordinates, clipping, visibility, rendering, camera behavior, object interaction, and spatial relationships.
- Ability to validate patient-specific anatomical models by verifying anatomical structures, spatial relationships, segmentation quality, measurements, and visualization accuracy against CT/MR imaging.
- Experience testing web applications.
- Strong QA fundamentals: test design, documentation, the bug life cycle, and types of testing.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test-management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Basic API testing skills and comfort reading application logs.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Exceptional attention to detail β a must. Small visual or data discrepancies can have real clinical consequences.
- Strong willingness and ability to learn quickly β also a must. VR, 3-D imaging, and medical concepts may be new territory.
What Youβll Do
- Design and maintain test cases, checklists, and test documentation.
- Test the Unity-based VR application across VR headsets and PC configurations, with a focus on 3-D visualization, object interaction, rendering quality, spatial accuracy, and the clinical correctness of patient-specific anatomical models.
- Test the web application(s) β functional, regression, cross-browser, and UI/UX testing.
- Validate AI-generated patient-specific 3-D reconstructions from CT/MR studies, including anatomical structures, segmentation quality, measurements, layer visibility, clipping, annotations, and spatial relationships.
- Verify 3-D navigation, object manipulation, camera behavior, rendering, VR interactions, and measurement accuracy while preserving millimeter-level spatial precision.
- Verify rendering quality and performance β frame rate, smoothness, and stability.
- Reproduce, document, and verify defects in the bug-tracking system.
Nice to Have
- Background in medicine, anatomy, biomedical engineering, radiology, or healthcare.
- Familiarity with medical imaging concepts and formats (DICOM, PACS, CT/MR).
- Experience testing medical visualization, scientific visualization, CAD, simulation, AR/VR, or medical imaging software.
- Experience validating segmentation results, 3-D reconstruction quality, measurements, or visualization accuracy.
- Test automation or performance testing experience.
